Dietary Supplement Manufacturer for Global Brands

Dietary Supplement Manufacturer for Global Brands

EUPHM is a GMP-certified contract manufacturer in Guangdong, China. We produce capsules, tablets, powders and softgels for brands in the US, EU, UK and Middle East. MOQ starts at 1,000 units per SKU.

Overview

Sourcing a supplement manufacturing partner involves more than comparing price lists. You need a plant that can scale from pilot batches to full production without changing your formulation or label. EUPHM operates a 12,000 sqm facility with 8 production lines and in-house quality control. We hold GMP, ISO 22000 and HACCP certifications, plus halal and organic where required. Production capabilities and line flexibility

Our plant runs eight lines for solid dosage forms. Capsule filling handles sizes 00 to 4, with fill weights from 50 mg to 1,200 mg. Tablet compression covers round, oval and custom shapes up to 22 mm. Powder blending supports 5 kg to 500 kg batches, with sachet filling from 2 g to 30 g. Softgel encapsulation runs 8–12 oval and 6–10 round sizes. Each line has inline weight and metal detection. Changeover between SKUs takes 4–6 hours, which keeps small runs viable.

We produce under strict batch control. Every run gets a unique batch number and full traceability from raw material to finished bottle. Our packaging area handles bottles from 30 mL to 500 mL, plus blisters, stick packs and pouches. Label application, induction sealing and shrink wrapping are done in-house. For brands moving from pilot to retail, we keep the same formulation and process parameters, so your first commercial batch matches the approved sample.

Formulation, ingredients and dosage forms

We work with a wide ingredient library: vitamins, minerals, amino acids, botanicals, probiotics, enzymes and specialty blends. Our formulation team can match an existing product or develop a new one from your concept. We source raw materials from approved suppliers in Europe, the US and Asia, with certificates of analysis for every lot. For botanical extracts, we standardise to marker compounds such as 5% curcumin or 10% ginsenosides. Probiotic strains are handled with strict moisture and temperature controls.

Dosage forms include hard capsules (vegan HPMC or gelatin), tablets (immediate and sustained release), softgels, powders, gummies and liquids. We can add coatings, flavours and sweeteners to suit your market. For example, a US brand may need a natural berry flavour with stevia, while a Middle East brand may prefer a neutral taste for halal certification. Our team provides a formulation sheet with ingredient percentages, overage calculations and suggested dosage. We also run stability studies to support a 24-month shelf life.

Quality control, compliance and logistics

Quality control is integrated at every stage. Incoming materials are tested for identity, potency and contaminants. During production, we check weight, hardness, disintegration and moisture. Finished products undergo microbiological testing, heavy metal screening and label verification. Our lab uses HPLC, GC, ICP-MS and dissolution apparatus. We retain samples from every batch for two years. The facility is FDA-registered and follows GMP, ISO 22000 and HACCP. We also hold halal certifications for relevant product lines.

For logistics, we ship from Shenzhen and Hong Kong ports. Air freight takes 5–10 days to the US or EU; sea freight takes 25–40 days. We provide all export documents: commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, health certificate and free sale certificate. Our team can coordinate with your freight forwarder or arrange door-to-door delivery. For Middle East orders, we prepare halal certificates and Arabic labelling if needed. Lead times remain 20–35 working days for mass production after sample approval.

Quality control and batch documentation at our dietary supplement manufacturing facility

Every batch at our dietary supplement manufacturing facility is tested against a written specification before release. Incoming raw materials are sampled and screened for identity by FTIR or HPLC, and each active ingredient is assayed for potency. We test finished products for microbial limits (total aerobic count, yeast and mould, E. coli, Salmonella), heavy metals (lead, arsenic, cadmium, mercury) and disintegration time. Where a formulation calls for it, we also run dissolution, moisture content and pH checks. Testing happens at three points: on receipt of raw materials, in-process on blended powders and filled capsules, and on the finished, packaged batch.

The certificate of analysis (COA) issued with each batch lists the product name, lot number, manufacture and expiry dates, and the specification for each test. It reports the result, the method used and a pass or fail statement against the limit. A batch is only released when every result meets specification; out-of-specification batches are quarantined and investigated before any disposition decision. We retain a sealed sample of every batch for at least two years beyond the expiry date, stored under the same conditions as the commercial stock, so a future complaint or stability question can be checked against the original material.

Stability follows a written protocol. Accelerated conditions (40°C and 75% relative humidity) are run for six months, with assays at 0, 1, 2, 3 and 6 months. Where the customer needs a shelf life beyond 24 months, we run real-time studies at 25°C and 60% relative humidity alongside the accelerated arm. Assay, microbials, disintegration and appearance are monitored at each pull point. The resulting data support the expiry date printed on the label and are available to the customer for their regulatory file.

Documentation is handled as a batch record, not a folder of loose sheets. The executed batch record captures ingredient weights, equipment used, line clearance, in-process checks and operator sign-offs. It is reviewed by quality assurance before release, and a copy of the COA and batch record summary can be supplied with each shipment. For customers who need it, we can also provide raw-material supplier declarations and allergen statements for the specific lot.

Packaging, Labelling and Retail Readiness

Our dietary supplement manufacturing lines handle the packaging formats most retail brands use. Capsules and tablets go into HDPE bottles from 60cc to 500cc with induction seals and child-resistant or standard caps, or into blister packs and strip packs. Powders fill into stick packs, sachets and jars. We can apply shrink bands, desiccant sachets and cotton, depending on the stability data for the formula. Bottle labelling runs on automatic lines with orientation control, so the label sits square on the container and the lot code is legible on the base or side panel.

For the US market, we build labels to the FDA dietary supplement labelling requirements: a Supplement Facts panel with the correct serving size, amount per serving and % Daily Value where applicable, plus the statement of identity, net quantity, ingredient list, allergen declaration and the manufacturer or distributor block. We do not write the label copy for you, but we check that the panel structure is present and that the lot and expiry coding is positioned where the printer can apply it cleanly. For EU and UK customers, we work to the relevant nutrition and health-claim rules supplied by the brand owner.

Lot and expiry coding is applied at filling, either by inkjet or laser, in the format agreed at artwork approval. We recommend a Julian date or DDMMYY format and a clear prefix for the lot. Cartons are specified with the customer: typical retail cartons are printed with the brand, barcode and any required warnings, and we can apply Amazon FNSKU labels, poly-bag the unit or overbox for retail compliance. Pallet specifications follow the destination: 1200 x 1000 mm or 1200 x 800 mm pallets, stretch-wrapped and corner-boarded, with a packing list and pallet label on each pallet.

Retail readiness also covers the artwork approval loop. Before a run, we issue a packaging specification showing the container, closure, label dimensions, code position and carton print. The customer signs this off, and the signed version becomes the reference for the line. Any change after approval, such as a new claim or a different bottle size, restarts the approval step. This prevents the common failure where a shipment arrives with a label that does not match the approved artwork.

MOQ, lead times and delivery from our dietary supplement manufacturing plant

Sampling starts with a formulation and a target dosage form. Once we have the formula and the packaging direction, we produce a sample batch and ship it within 7 to 10 working days. The sample is made on the same equipment as commercial production, so the customer can check fill weight, appearance, disintegration and label fit before committing. If the sample needs a formulation change, we quote the revised sample timeline separately; most changes add 5 to 7 working days. Sample costs are quoted per project and are not a standard fee.

Mass production runs 20 to 35 working days after sample approval, counted from the date the signed artwork and the purchase order are received. The lower end applies to established formulas and standard bottles; the upper end applies to new formulations, blister packs or multi-component kits. Monthly capacity is up to 60 million capsules, 40 million tablets and 5 million sachets, so a 1,000 unit retail order is a small share of a line and does not wait for a large campaign to finish.

Delivery terms are agreed per order. We quote EXW, FOB and DDP. FOB is from Shenzhen or Hong Kong, depending on the forwarder; DDP is available to most US and EU destinations through our freight partners, with the duty and tax position confirmed before booking. Air freight suits pilot and launch orders and typically takes 5 to 8 days door to door; sea freight suits repeat orders and takes 25 to 40 days depending on the port. We provide a commercial invoice, packing list and bill of lading or airway bill with every shipment.

The document pack includes the COA for each lot, an MSDS where the product or its ingredients require one, and a free-sale certificate for markets that ask for it. For plant-based ingredients we can supply phytosanitary certificates where the destination requires them. Certificates of origin are available on request. We send the document pack by email before the shipment leaves and include a printed copy in the carton marked for the consignee.

Questions buyers ask.

What is your minimum order quantity?+

For retail bottling, MOQ is 1,000 units per SKU. For pilot runs, we can go as low as 1,000 units, depending on the formulation and packaging. We recommend starting with a pilot to test the market before scaling.

How long does sampling take?+

Sample lead time is 7–10 working days after we receive your formula and packaging requirements. You approve the sample before mass production begins. We can also provide stock samples for private label options.

What certifications do you hold?+

We are GMP-certified and hold ISO 22000 and HACCP. We also have halal certifications for relevant product lines, and can produce organic-certified products if your formula qualifies. Our facility is FDA-registered.

Can you help with formulation?+

Yes. Our formulation team can develop a new product from your concept or match an existing one. We provide a formulation sheet with ingredient percentages, overage calculations and suggested dosage. Stability studies support a 24-month shelf life.

What are your payment and shipping terms?+

We typically require a 30% deposit, with the balance before shipment. We ship from Shenzhen or Hong Kong. Air freight takes 5–10 days; sea freight 25–40 days. We provide all export documents and can arrange door-to-door delivery.

Can you produce a batch with our own label and lot coding under our brand?+

Yes. We manufacture to your brand and apply your label, lot code and expiry date under your artwork approval. The batch record and COA are issued in your product name and lot number, and the manufacturer block on the label can name your company as the distributor. We do not put our name on the retail label unless you ask us to.

What happens if a finished batch fails a specification test?+

The batch is quarantined and not released. Quality assurance opens an investigation covering raw materials, in-process data and the test method. Depending on the finding, the batch may be reworked within the approved process, retested or rejected. We inform the customer before any disposition, and a replacement batch is scheduled at the next available line slot.

Do you provide stability data to support a 24-month shelf life?+

Yes, where the formulation and packaging support it. We run accelerated stability for six months and, for shelf lives beyond 24 months, real-time studies at 25°C and 60% relative humidity. The data are summarised in a stability report that the customer can hold in their regulatory file. Shelf life is set from that data, not from a default period.
