Supplement Manufacturer for Small Business

Overview

Small businesses face unique challenges when sourcing supplement manufacturing. High minimums, long lead times, and unclear certifications often block promising products. EUPHM removes these barriers. Our facility in Guangdong runs dedicated small-batch lines with MOQs from 1,000 units. We handle capsules, tablets, powders, and softgels. Certifications include GMP, ISO 22000, HACCP, plus halal, and organic where required. Sample lead time is 7-10 working days. Mass production runs 20-35 working days.

Production Capabilities for Small Batches

Our Guangdong facility runs dedicated small-batch lines for capsules, tablets, powders, and softgels. Capsule filling handles 300–800 mg. Tablet compression reaches 1,500 mg. Powder blending supports 5–500 g fills. We maintain separate areas for beta-glucan and probiotic products to prevent cross-contamination. Annual capacity exceeds 2 billion units, but small runs are scheduled alongside larger orders without penalty.

For pilot runs below 1,000 units, we use semi-automatic lines. This keeps tooling costs low and allows quick iteration. Once a formula is locked, we transfer to high-speed lines for retail volumes. Changeover between SKUs takes 4–6 hours, so small brands can order multiple SKUs per production window. This flexibility supports subscription boxes and limited editions.

Formulation and Ingredient Sourcing

We source ingredients from approved suppliers in Europe, the US, and Asia. Each lot is tested for identity, potency, and heavy metals before release. For small businesses, we offer 200+ stock formulas across categories: vitamins, minerals, botanicals, amino acids, and probiotics. Custom formulation starts with a brief and a 5–7 day feasibility review. Our R&D team can adjust taste, texture, and dosage form.

Ingredient minimums vary. Common actives like vitamin C or magnesium have no extra MOQ beyond the finished product. Speciality items such as branded extracts or probiotics may require 5–10 kg minimums. We help small brands select alternatives that meet label claims without excess inventory. All ingredients are documented with COAs and allergen statements.

Quality, Compliance, and Logistics

Our facility is GMP-certified, ISO 22000, and HACCP. We are FDA-registered for US imports. halal and vegan certifications are available on request. Every batch undergoes finished-product testing for potency, microbials, and heavy metals. We provide certificates of analysis and retain samples for 2 years. Label review covers FDA, EU, UK, and GCC requirements.

Logistics for small businesses include DDP and DAP terms. We ship from Shenzhen and Hong Kong ports. Air freight takes 5–8 days to the US or EU; sea freight 18–28 days. MOQs for retail bottling are 1,000 units. Packaging options include stock bottles, custom labels, and cartons. We coordinate with your freight forwarder or arrange door-to-door delivery.

Quality Control and Batch Documentation

Every batch produced on our small-business supplement manufacturing lines is tested against a written specification before release. Incoming raw materials are sampled at 100% of containers for identity by FTIR or HPLC, and each lot is screened for potency, microbials (total plate count, yeast and mould, E. coli, Salmonella), heavy metals (lead, cadmium, arsenic, mercury) and, where relevant, pesticide residues. Finished capsules and tablets are tested for disintegration and weight variation; powders for moisture and particle size. Testing is performed in-house and, for third-party verification, at an accredited external laboratory.

Batch documentation is compiled in real time. The batch record includes dispensing weights, in-process checks (blend uniformity at 5-point sampling, fill weight every 15 minutes, hardness and friability for tablets), yield reconciliation and deviation notes. A certificate of analysis (COA) is issued per batch and per SKU, listing test parameters, specifications, results and methods. COAs are available in PDF within 3 working days of batch completion. Retention samples of each batch are held for 24 months at 25°C/60% RH, and accelerated stability data (40°C/75% RH, 0, 1, 2, 3 and 6 months) can be provided for new formulations.

For small businesses, documentation is often the difference between a smooth retail launch and a customs hold. We provide a product specification sheet, allergen statement, GMO and irradiation statements, and a declaration of no prohibited substances on request. If your market requires a free-sale certificate or a certificate of origin, these are issued within 5 working days. All records are retained for 5 years and are available for audit by your quality team or a third-party inspector.

Packaging, Labelling and Retail Readiness

Small-business supplement manufacturing at EUPHM covers retail-ready packaging in several formats. Capsules and tablets can be filled into HDPE bottles (60, 90, 120, 180 or 240 cc) with induction seals and child-resistant or standard caps, or into blister packs (PVC/PVDC or alu-alu) for unit-dose presentation. Powders are filled into jars (250 g to 1 kg), stick packs (5–30 g) or sachets. Softgels are typically bottled. We can apply your artwork or provide dieline templates and label proofs for approval before printing.

For the US market, labels must include the statement of identity, net quantity, supplement facts panel, ingredient list, allergen declaration, and the manufacturer/distributor name and address. We check your artwork against FDA 21 CFR 101 requirements and flag missing elements before printing. Lot and expiry coding is applied by inkjet or laser at the filling line, with formats to your specification (e.g. LOT 12345, EXP 06/2027). Cartons are standard export grade (5-ply) with your SKU label; pallet configurations are built to your retailer's requirements, typically 48 x 40 in or 1200 x 800 mm, with stretch wrap and edge protectors.

Amazon sellers receive FNSKU labels applied over the UPC or poly-bagged units with a suffocation warning. We can also print and apply retail-ready carton labels with GS1-128 barcodes. For EU retail, we include the address of the responsible person and any required nutrition or health claims that you have substantiated. Packaging components are food-grade and supplied with migration test reports where applicable.

MOQ, Lead Times and Delivery

The small-business supplement manufacturing timeline starts with a sample request. After you confirm the formula and packaging, we produce a sample batch within 7–10 working days. Sample costs are quoted per SKU and are typically credited against the first production order. Once you approve the sample and artwork, a 30% deposit triggers production scheduling. Mass production runs 20–35 working days depending on format and packaging complexity; capsules and tablets are at the shorter end, softgels and stick packs at the longer end.

Shipping is arranged by air or sea. Air freight to the US or EU takes 5–10 days door-to-door and is suitable for initial launches or urgent replenishment. Sea freight takes 25–40 days port-to-port, with LCL options for smaller volumes. We work with EXW, FOB Shenzhen/Hong Kong, and DDP terms; DDP is available for the US, UK and EU with duties and taxes prepaid. For DDP, we handle customs clearance and delivery to your warehouse or Amazon FBA centre.

Documents provided with each shipment include commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading or air waybill, COA, MSDS (for powder or liquid products), free-sale certificate and certificate of origin. For plant-based powders, a phytosanitary certificate can be arranged if your destination country requires it. We also provide a pre-shipment inspection report and photos of finished cartons before dispatch. Shipping documents are sent electronically within 2 working days of vessel departure.
