Powder Manufacturer for Custom Supplement Blends
EUPHM produces powder supplements in stick packs, sachets, jars and bulk drums. MOQ starts at 1,000 units per SKU. Pilot runs are available for new formulas. Sample lead time is 7-10 working days.

Overview
As a powder manufacturer, EUPHM handles blending, milling, flavour masking and filling under one roof in Guangdong, China. The plant runs GMP, ISO 22000 and HACCP systems, with halal and vegan options where the formula allows. Brand owners use this line for protein, greens, collagen, electrolytes, pre-workout and kids' nutrition. Fill weights range from 2 g stick packs to 5 kg bulk bags. Mass production takes 20-35 working days after formula and artwork approval.

Powder blending and filling capacity
The plant runs four ribbon blenders and two V-blenders, with batch sizes from 50 kg to 1,200 kg. That covers small pilot runs and full container loads. Filling lines handle stick packs at 40-60 cycles per minute, sachets at 30-50 per minute, and jars or pouches at 20-40 per minute. We run separate lines for allergen-containing and allergen-free powders to reduce cross-contact risk. Bulk drums are filled under nitrogen where the formula is oxidation-sensitive.
Every batch is weighed, blended and recorded against a master batch record. In-process checks cover blend uniformity, fill weight and seal integrity. Metal detection and checkweighing run at the end of each filling line. If you need two flavours on one SKU, we can run them on the same line with a full clean-down between runs. Changeover takes 4-6 hours, which is built into the production schedule.
Formulation support and ingredient sourcing
Most buyers arrive with a formula or a reference product. Our team can match flavour, sweetness, mouthfeel and particle size. We work with stevia, monk fruit, erythritol and allulose for sugar-free profiles. For protein powders, we source whey isolate, whey concentrate, casein, pea, rice and soy. Collagen comes as bovine, marine or eggshell membrane. We also handle botanical extracts, probiotics, digestive enzymes and vitamin premixes with overage for shelf-life.
Ingredient sourcing is documented by lot. Certificates of analysis are available for every incoming material. If a branded ingredient is required, we can work with your supplier or source an equivalent with the same specification. Flavour systems are developed in-house and can be adjusted across two or three rounds before you commit to a production run. Stability testing runs alongside formulation when the project timeline allows.
Quality systems and export documentation
The facility is GMP-certified and runs ISO 22000 and HACCP. That covers incoming material inspection, allergen control, environmental monitoring and finished product testing. Third-party lab testing is available for heavy metals, microbiology, pesticide residues and nutrition panels. We hold halal certifications, and can produce vegan batches where the supply chain supports the claim.
For export, we prepare commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, health certificates and free sale certificates. Documents for the US, EU, UK and Middle East are handled by a dedicated export team. Lead times for documentation run in parallel with production, so paperwork is ready when the container is loaded. We ship FOB, CIF or DDP depending on your preference.
Powder manufacturer quality control and batch documentation
Every powder batch is sampled at three points: incoming raw material, in-process blend, and finished filled units. Identity testing uses FTIR or HPLC against a reference standard. Potency assays confirm actives are within 95-105% of label claim for vitamins and 90-110% for botanicals. Microbial testing covers total aerobic count, yeast and mould, E. coli, Salmonella and Staphylococcus aureus. Heavy metals (lead, arsenic, cadmium, mercury) are screened by ICP-MS. Disintegration testing applies to compressed powders or tablet blends, not free-flowing powders.
Testing is performed in-house for rapid release parameters and outsourced to a third-party ISO 17025 laboratory for confirmatory assays. A certificate of analysis (COA) is issued per batch and includes lot number, manufacture and expiry dates, active ingredient content, microbial results, heavy metal results, moisture content, bulk density, and particle size distribution. Retention samples of each batch are held for 24 months at 25°C/60% RH and 12 months at 40°C/75% RH under the stability protocol. Accelerated stability data is available for new formulas after 3 months.
Batch documentation is compiled into a batch record that includes raw material COAs, weighing records, blending log, fill weight checks every 15 minutes, metal detection records, and packaging line clearance. This record is retained for 5 years. For export orders, a technical data sheet and material safety data sheet (MSDS) are provided. If a customer requires a free-sale certificate or phytosanitary certificate for plant-based ingredients, the regulatory team prepares these within 5 working days of request.
Powder packaging, labelling and retail readiness for supplement brands
Packaging options for powder supplements include stick packs (2 g to 10 g), sachets (10 g to 30 g), jars (100 g to 1,000 g), stand-up pouches with zipper or spout, and bulk drums up to 25 kg. Stick packs are filled on vertical form-fill-seal machines with fill weight accuracy of ±2%. Jars and pouches are filled by auger or volumetric fillers with check-weighing every 15 minutes. Lot numbers and expiry dates are inkjet-printed on the primary package and outer carton. Expiry is set at 24 months from manufacture for most powder formats, supported by stability data.
For US retail, labels must include the FDA dietary supplement facts panel, ingredient list, allergen statement, net quantity, and the statement 'These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.' EU labels require nutrition declaration, allergens, and the address of the food business operator. The labelling team reviews artwork against destination-market regulations and provides a pre-press proof with barcode (UPC or EAN) placement. Amazon FNSKU labels can be applied on the production line if the customer supplies the barcode file.
Carton specifications are tailored to retail or e-commerce requirements. Standard cartons are 5-ply corrugated with a maximum weight of 20 kg. Pallet configuration is 1,200 mm x 1,000 mm or 1,200 mm x 800 mm, stretch-wrapped and corner-protected. For Amazon FBA, cartons are labelled with FNSKU and suffocation warning if poly bags are used. Retail-ready packaging such as shelf-ready trays can be quoted separately. All packaging materials are food-grade and meet EU 10/2011 and FDA 21 CFR 174-190 compliance.
Powder manufacturer MOQ, lead times and delivery terms
The sampling timeline starts with a brief and formula review. A stock sample can be dispatched within 3 working days. For a custom formula, lab-scale samples are prepared in 7-10 working days after receipt of specifications and payment of a sample fee. The fee is refundable against the first mass production order. Sample courier costs are at the customer's account. Once the sample is approved, a proforma invoice is issued with a 30% deposit. Mass production begins after deposit and artwork approval, with a production window of 20-35 working days depending on complexity and packaging.
Delivery terms are offered as EXW (Guangdong factory), FOB Shenzhen or Hong Kong, and DDP to US and EU addresses. Air freight takes 5-8 days door-to-door for urgent orders up to 500 kg. Sea freight takes 25-35 days to US West Coast and 30-40 days to Europe. For LCL shipments, consolidation adds 7-10 days. The factory provides a packing list, commercial invoice, and bill of lading. Certificates of analysis, MSDS, and free-sale certificates are included with shipping documents. Phytosanitary certificates are provided for plant-derived ingredients where the destination country requires them.
Payment terms are 30% deposit, 70% before shipment. For repeat orders, net 30 terms can be discussed after three completed orders. The factory carries product liability insurance. Shipping insurance is at the customer's option. The export team provides a shipment tracking number within 48 hours of dispatch. For DDP shipments, customs clearance and import duties are handled by the factory's freight forwarder, and the customer receives a delivery note with the shipment.
Why powder carries the biggest dose at the lowest cost
Powder is the only format where the dose ceiling is your scoop, not the piece: 5 g of collagen, 10 g of protein, 20 g of fibre are all normal. There is no compression, no shell, no drying step, so cost per gram of active is the lowest of any format we run. It is the default for sports nutrition, greens blends, fibre and anything where the serving is measured in grams.
The catch is that taste is the entire product. A powder that clumps, foams, or tastes chalky gets returned regardless of how good the formula is, so solubility, particle size and flavour masking are the formulation work. Hygroscopic actives also need an aluminium or high-barrier pouch with a desiccant — a cheap clear bag will turn your powder into a brick in a humid warehouse.
Powder blending: uniformity, moisture and fill accuracy
Blend uniformity is the number that matters, and we validate it to a CV below 5% with samples taken from top, middle and bottom of the blender, then again from the filler hopper. Moisture is held below 5% before filling because every percent of water is a percent of shelf life you will not get back. Bulk density is checked against the fill target so the scoop weight matches the label.
Stick packs run at 40–60 packs per minute with fill weight controlled to ±2% and a seal-integrity check by dye penetration or burst test. Jars and pouches get an induction seal and a torque check. Metal detection sits at the end of the line for every format, and a retained sample per batch goes into the stability programme at 25 °C/60% RH and 40 °C/75% RH.
