Sugar-Free Powder Manufacturer for Custom Supplement Brands
EUPHM produces sugar-free supplement powders in sachets, stick packs and retail tubs. We handle sweetener systems, flavour matching and 1,000-unit minimum orders, with samples in 7-10 working days.

Overview
Formulating without sugar is not simply removing an ingredient. Bulk, mouthfeel and aftertaste all change. As a sugar-free powder manufacturer, we adjust carrier ratios, choose between erythritol, allulose, stevia, monk fruit or sucralose, and test dissolution before filling. This page covers our powder manufacturing capabilities, sugar-free formulation detail, and the quality and logistics checks that sit behind every batch.

Powder Production Capability
Our Guangdong plant runs separate blending and filling lines for sugar-free powders to reduce cross-contact with sugar-containing products. Blenders handle 50 kg to 500 kg batches, with ribbon and V-blenders for uniform low-dose actives. Sachet and stick-pack lines fill 2 g to 5 g at speeds up to 120,000 units per day. Tub filling covers 150 g to 1,000 g with induction sealing and optional scoops. We also run single-serve stick packs for sports and hydration formats.
Every order starts with a formulation brief. We check flowability, hygroscopicity and static behaviour before quoting. Sugar alcohols such as erythritol can be brittle and dusty, so we adjust humidity controls and filling nozzles. For effervescent or high-acid formulas, we use foil laminates with a moisture barrier. MOQ is 1,000 units per SKU for retail bottling for market testing. Lead time is 20-35 working days after sample approval.
Sugar-Free Formulation and Sweetener Systems
Sugar does more than sweeten. It adds bulk, masks bitterness and affects mouthfeel. We replace it with a bulking agent such as erythritol, allulose, maltodextrin or inulin, then add a high-intensity sweetener. Common systems include stevia leaf extract (Reb A or Reb M), monk fruit, sucralose, acesulfame K or a blend. Blends often taste cleaner than a single sweetener. We can also match a target sweetness profile to your reference product.
For keto and low-glycaemic claims, we track net carbs and use sugar alcohols with low glycaemic impact. For vegan and organic lines, we select plant-based carriers and certified organic sweeteners. Flavour systems are available as natural, natural and artificial, or organic compliant. We test dissolution in 200 ml of water at 20°C and check residue after 30 seconds. If your formula includes probiotics, vitamins or electrolytes, we adjust the sweetener system to avoid off-notes during shelf life.
Quality Control, Compliance and Logistics
Each batch is tested for identity, potency, microbial limits and heavy metals. We hold GMP, ISO 22000 and HACCP certifications. Halal and vegan certificates are available where the ingredients and process support them. Our facility is FDA-registered for US-bound dietary supplements. We provide a certificate of analysis and retain samples for 24 months. Packaging artwork checks cover net weight, allergen statements and nutrition panels for US, EU, UK and Middle East markets.
We ship from Guangdong to US, EU, UK and Middle East ports. Typical transit is 18-28 days by sea and 5-8 days by air. We handle FOB, CIF and DDP terms. Cartons are export-grade with desiccant where needed. For retail tubs, we can apply shrink sleeves, tamper-evident seals and lot coding. If you need halal documentation for the Middle East or Israel, we arrange certification before production. Documentation packs include COA, MSDS, allergen statement and origin certificate.
Quality Control and Batch Documentation
Every sugar-free powder batch is tested against a written specification before release. Incoming raw materials are sampled at 100% of containers for identity by FTIR or HPLC, and each lot is screened for potency, microbials (TPC, yeast and mould, E. coli, Salmonella), heavy metals (lead, arsenic, cadmium, mercury) and, where relevant, residual solvents. Sweetener systems are verified by HPLC against reference standards so that erythritol, allulose, stevia glycosides or monk fruit mogrosides match the approved formula within ±5% of label claim.
In-process checks run at blending, before filling. We test uniformity by taking five-point samples from the blender and measuring active marker content; a relative standard deviation above 5% triggers re-blending. Fill weight is checked every 30 minutes on sachet lines and every 15 minutes on tub lines, with a target of ±2% for sachets and ±1% for tubs. Metal detection is inline after filling, with a 2.5 mm ferrous, 3.0 mm non-ferrous and 3.5 mm stainless steel rejection threshold. Any rejected unit is logged and quarantined.
The certificate of analysis (COA) issued with each batch lists batch number, manufacture and expiry dates, appearance, identity, potency or marker content, microbial results, heavy metals, moisture, pH where applicable and dissolution time for instant powders. It also states the test methods used and the specification limits. A retention sample of at least 200 g per batch is held for 24 months at ambient conditions, and accelerated stability is run at 40°C/75% RH for three months on the first three production batches to confirm the assigned shelf life of 18 to 24 months.
Deviations are handled through a documented CAPA process. If a batch fails a microbial or potency specification, it is placed on hold, re-sampled and either reworked under a written protocol or rejected. Records, including raw material COAs, in-process logs and finished-product COAs, are retained for five years and are available to the brand owner on request. For buyers with their own QA team, we can share the batch record summary and arrange third-party verification through SGS, Intertek or Bureau Veritas at cost.
Packaging, Labelling and Retail Readiness
Sugar-free powders are filled into stick packs from 2 g to 5 g, sachets from 3 g to 10 g, and tubs from 150 g to 1,000 g. Stick packs use a four-layer laminate (PET/Al/PE or PET/PE) with a tear notch and are packed into cartons of 20 to 30 sticks. Tubs are HDPE or PET with induction seals and can include a scoop. We also offer single-serve sachets in a box, and for sample or travel formats, 2 g sachets in a 7-count carton. All primary packaging is food-grade and supplied with migration test reports where requested.
For the US market, we build the FDA dietary-supplement label with the required elements: statement of identity, net quantity, supplement facts panel with serving size and per-serving amounts, other ingredients list, directions, and the manufacturer/distributor name and address. Allergen declarations follow FALCPA. For the EU, we apply Regulation 1169/2011 and the nutrition declaration, and for both markets we can add the appropriate structure/function or health claims only where the brand owner holds substantiation. Lot and expiry coding is applied by inkjet or laser on the primary pack and the carton, in the format agreed at artwork approval.
Cartons are specified to withstand normal retail handling: 300 to 350 gsm board with a printed or plain finish, and we can apply Amazon FNSKU labels, poly-bag the carton and print the required FNSKU on the outside. Pallet configuration is agreed per SKU, typically 1,200 mm × 1,000 mm or 1,200 mm × 800 mm, with a maximum height of 1.8 m including the pallet, stretch-wrapped and corner-boarded. We provide a packaging specification sheet with dimensions, gross and net weights, and carton count per pallet so the brand owner can calculate freight and storage costs before production.
Artwork is checked against a pre-press checklist covering barcode scannability (EAN-13 or UPC-A at 80% to 200% magnification), ingredient and allergen accuracy, net weight, country of origin, and any certification logos that the brand owner is licensed to use. We do not print organic, halal logos unless the relevant certificate is in place and the certifying body has approved the artwork. Proofs are sent as PDFs for sign-off, and a physical proof can be couriered before the print run. Print runs below 10,000 units per SKU may use digital labels to avoid plate costs.
MOQ, Lead Times and Delivery
Sampling starts with a formulation brief and a target profile: sweetness level, mouthfeel, dissolution time and any active ingredients. We provide a quotation within two working days and, once the brief is agreed, a sample in 7 to 10 working days. One round of revision is included; additional rounds are quoted separately. Samples are sent by courier with a preliminary specification and a COA for the sample batch. If the formula uses a novel ingredient, the buyer should allow an extra 5 to 7 working days for documentation review.
Mass production runs 20 to 35 working days after sample approval and receipt of the purchase order and deposit. The window depends on packaging type: stick packs and sachets are typically at the shorter end, tubs and multi-count cartons at the longer end. If printed cartons are required, add 10 to 15 working days for print production. We confirm the production slot in writing and provide a weekly progress update with photos at blending, filling and packing stages.
We ship under EXW, FOB Shenzhen or Hong Kong, and DDP for selected destinations. Air freight is used for samples and urgent orders, typically 5 to 8 days door to door; sea freight is used for full containers, typically 25 to 35 days to the US west coast and 30 to 40 days to Europe, plus customs clearance. We provide a packing list, commercial invoice, bill of lading or airway bill, COA, MSDS where applicable, and a free-sale certificate. Phytosanitary certificates are provided only where the destination requires them for plant-derived ingredients.
For repeat orders, we hold the approved formula and artwork on file, and the MOQ can be reduced to 1,000 units per SKU for pilot runs. Payment terms are typically 30% deposit and 70% before shipment, with irrevocable L/C at sight accepted for orders above USD 50,000. We can consolidate multiple SKUs into one container to reduce freight cost, and we provide a loading plan with container utilisation before booking. Delivery dates are confirmed against the vessel schedule and any applicable port congestion at the time of booking.

Questions buyers ask.
What is the MOQ for sugar-free powder manufacturing?+
MOQ is 1,000 units per SKU for retail bottling. For pilot runs or market testing, we can start from 1,000 units. Bulk powder MOQ is 25 kg. Packaging type and fill weight affect the final minimum.
Which sweeteners can you use in a sugar-free formula?+
We work with erythritol, allulose, maltitol, stevia (Reb A and Reb M), monk fruit, sucralose, acesulfame K and blends. Selection depends on your target taste, glycaemic claim, cost per serving and whether the formula must be vegan.
How long does sampling and production take?+
Sample lead time is 7-10 working days after formula confirmation. Mass production takes 20-35 working days after sample approval. Shipping adds 18-28 days by sea or 5-8 days by air. Rush options are available for repeat orders.
Do you provide halal or organic certificates?+
Yes. We hold GMP, ISO 22000 and HACCP certifications. Halal and vegan certificates are available when the ingredients and process qualify. Certificates are issued before shipment and included in the documentation pack.
Can you match a competitor's sugar-free powder taste?+
Yes. Send us a reference sample or a detailed flavour brief. We reverse-engineer the sweetener system, acidity and mouthfeel, then produce a sample for side-by-side comparison. Two revision rounds are included in the sample process.
Can you produce sugar-free powders that dissolve clear in water?+
Yes, for clear-beverage applications we select highly soluble carriers such as maltodextrin DE 18-20 or resistant dextrin and mill the sweetener to a controlled particle size. We test dissolution in water at 20°C and 40°C, measuring time to clear solution and any sediment after 10 minutes. Typical clear systems use erythritol or allulose with stevia or monk fruit, and we adjust the ratio to avoid a cooling or bitter aftertaste. A bench sample is provided before production.
What is your policy on sugar-free claims and labelling in the EU and US?+
In the EU, a 'sugar-free' claim requires the product to contain no more than 0.5 g of sugars per 100 g or 100 ml, and we verify this by calculation from the formula and, where needed, by laboratory analysis. In the US, 'sugar-free' requires less than 0.5 g of sugars per serving and the label must state 'not a low-calorie food' unless the product also meets the low-calorie threshold. We check the claim against the final formula and label before print.
Do you offer low-moisture or hygroscopic handling for sugar-free powders?+
Yes. Sugar-free powders, particularly those with erythritol or allulose, are hygroscopic, so blending and filling take place in a controlled humidity room at 30% to 40% RH and 20°C to 25°C. We use moisture-barrier laminates for sticks and sachets, and tubs are fitted with induction seals and desiccant where the formula requires it. Finished moisture is tested against a specification of no more than 3% to 5% depending on the carrier, and we monitor water activity to support the assigned shelf life.
