Overview

Sourcing an instant powder manufacturer means matching solubility, taste and flowability to your filling line and your market. This page covers what we run at our Guangdong facility: granulation, blending, stick pack and sachet filling, bulk bagging, and the documentation buyers need for US, EU, UK and Middle East retail. If you are still comparing formats, start with our /powder-manufacturer overview, then return here for instant-specific parameters.

Instant Powder Production Capability

We run two horizontal form-fill-seal lines for stick packs and sachets, with a combined output of up to 120,000 units per day. Fill weights range from 2 g to 30 g, with ±2% accuracy on most free-flowing blends. For bulk orders, we fill 100 g to 5 kg pouches or 25 kg fibre drums. Changeover between SKUs takes 2-4 hours, including line clearance and swab testing.

Granulation is done in-house for blends that need better dispersion or reduced dust. We use fluid-bed granulation for heat-sensitive actives and roller compaction for high-dose minerals. Moisture is controlled to below 5% in the finished powder, and each batch is tested for bulk density, angle of repose and sieve analysis before filling. This matters when your stick pack runs on a high-speed vertical line.

Formulation for Solubility and Taste

Instant powders live or die by how they mix. We formulate with carriers such as maltodextrin DE 18-20, isomalt, or acacia fibre, then adjust with flow agents like silicon dioxide at 0.5-1.5%. For clear beverages, we select cold-water-soluble ingredients and avoid insoluble fibres above 2%. For protein blends, we use instantised whey or pea protein with lecithin at 0.5-1% to prevent clumping.

Flavour systems are built with spray-dried flavours, acidulants (citric, malic, tartaric) and sweeteners. We can work with sugar at 40-70%, or zero-sugar options using stevia, monk fruit or sucralose. Taste panels run at 5-7 days after production to confirm no off-notes from actives. If you have a competitor sample, send it and we will match the profile within 2-3 rounds.

Quality, Compliance and Logistics

Every batch is tested for micro (TPC, yeast, mould, E. coli, Salmonella), heavy metals (lead, arsenic, cadmium, mercury) and moisture. We retain samples for 24 months. Certificates of Analysis are issued per batch. Our facility is GMP, ISO 22000 and HACCP certified, and we hold halal certification for relevant lines. The plant is FDA-registered for US-bound exports.

Shipping is from Shenzhen or Hong Kong. Typical transit: 25-35 days to US West Coast, 30-40 days to EU and UK, 18-25 days to Middle East via Jebel Ali. We handle FOB, CIF and DDP terms. For urgent launches, air freight takes 5-8 days to major hubs. All labels are reviewed for market-specific claims before printing, and we provide full documentation for customs clearance.

Quality Control and Batch Documentation

Every instant powder batch is sampled at three points: incoming raw materials, post-blending, and finished stick packs or bulk pouches. Identity testing by FTIR or HPLC confirms actives such as vitamin C, electrolytes or botanical extracts. Potency assays follow the same methods, with acceptance criteria set at 95–105% of label claim unless your specification is tighter. Microbial testing covers total plate count, yeast and mould, E. coli, Salmonella and Staphylococcus aureus, with results released before filling begins.

Heavy metals testing for lead, arsenic, cadmium and mercury is run on each lot of botanical raw material and on the finished blend at a frequency of one composite per 500 kg. Disintegration and solubility are checked against your target: for instant powders we record wetting time, dispersion and sediment after 30 seconds in water at 20°C. Each batch has a retained sample of at least 200 g stored at ambient conditions for 24 months, and a second set at 40°C/75% RH for accelerated stability.

The certificate of analysis (COA) issued with each batch lists batch number, production date, expiry date, tests performed, specifications, results and the analyst and QA sign-off. It also states the country of manufacture and the applicable standard, such as USP or your own specification. If you need a specific COA format for your retailer or importer, we can align it before the first production run. Stability protocols follow ICH Q1A(R2) where your market requires it, with 0, 3, 6, 12, 18 and 24-month pull points at 25°C/60% RH and 30°C/65% RH.

Packaging, Labelling and Retail Readiness

Instant powder packaging options include stick packs from 2 g to 30 g, sachets from 5 g to 50 g, and bulk pouches from 100 g to 5 kg. Stick packs can be supplied in a standard three-side seal or a tear-notch format with a registered print area. For retail bottles we fill HDPE or PET containers from 100 g to 1 kg with induction seals and desiccant where required. Blister packaging is available for effervescent instant powders, with aluminium foil lidding and child-resistant options on request.

For US dietary supplement retail, labels must carry the statement of identity, net quantity, supplement facts panel, ingredient list, allergen declaration, and the manufacturer or distributor name and address. We print lot number and expiry date by inkjet or laser on each unit, and we can apply best-by dates based on your stability data. Cartons are specified with dimensions, board grade and pallet configuration: typically 12 to 24 units per carton, 48 to 60 cartons per pallet, with stretch wrap and edge protectors for export.

Amazon FNSKU labels, retail barcodes (UPC or EAN) and case codes can be applied at the filling line. We do not manage your Amazon seller account, but we can print and apply FNSKU labels to each unit and poly-bag stick packs for FBA shipment. For EU retail, we can include the responsible person address, country of origin and nutrition declaration where applicable. All artwork is checked against your approved proof before printing, and a digital proof is issued for sign-off at least five working days before the packaging run.

MOQ, Lead Times and Delivery

Sampling for a new instant powder typically takes 7–10 working days from an approved formula and receipt of raw materials. If a raw material is out of stock, we will confirm the substitute and its COA before proceeding. Sample quantities are usually 200–500 g per SKU, packed in labelled pouches. Courier costs are quoted at cost, and samples are sent by express with tracking. For a competitor match, we need a retail sample and the ingredient statement; we will return a proposed formula and a sample within 12–15 working days.

Mass production runs 20–35 working days after sample sign-off and deposit receipt. For 50,000 stick packs, the filling window is typically 5–7 working days once materials are released. Bulk powder orders of 500 kg or more are scheduled within 15–25 working days. We hold a safety stock of common excipients and packaging films, but custom printed film requires 15–20 working days for printing and lamination before filling can start. We will confirm the production schedule in writing after the deposit is received.

Delivery terms are EXW, FOB Shenzhen or Hong Kong, and DDP for selected destinations. Air freight is used for samples and urgent orders under 200 kg, with transit of 3–7 days. Sea freight is standard for full pallets, with transit of 18–30 days depending on port. Documents provided include COA, MSDS, free-sale certificate, and phytosanitary certificate where relevant. We also provide packing list, commercial invoice, and certificate of origin on request. For DDP shipments, we confirm the import duties and taxes in the quotation before booking.

Questions buyers ask.

What is your MOQ for instant powder stick packs?+

1,000 units per SKU for retail-ready stick packs. For pilot runs, we can go lower on a case-by-case basis, typically 1,000-2,000 units. Bulk drums start at 25 kg. MOQ depends on fill weight and whether we need custom printed film.

How long does sampling take?+

7-10 working days from approved formula. This includes raw material sourcing, blending, filling and taste testing. If you need a rush sample, we can sometimes do 5 working days for an expedite fee. You receive 500 g-1 kg of finished powder for evaluation.

Can you match a competitor's instant powder?+

Yes. Send us 2-3 units of the competitor product. We analyse the ingredient list, taste profile, solubility and particle size. We then produce a match sample within 2-3 rounds. You own the final formula. We do not sell your formula to other clients.

What certifications do you hold for instant powders?+

GMP, ISO 22000 and HACCP. We also hold halal certification for relevant production lines. Our facility is FDA-registered for US exports. Certificates are available on request before you place a deposit. We can also arrange third-party testing for specific market requirements.

What is the production lead time for 50,000 stick packs?+

20-35 working days after sample sign-off and deposit. This covers raw material ordering, blending, filling, QC and packaging. For 50,000 units, we typically run production within 5-7 working days once materials are in-house. Shipping transit is additional.

Can you provide a certificate of analysis for each batch of instant powder?+

Yes. Every batch is issued with a COA that includes batch number, production and expiry dates, tests performed, specifications, results and QA sign-off. We can align the COA format to your importer or retailer requirements. Retained samples are kept for 24 months, and stability data can be shared under NDA.

Do you offer low-MOQ pilot runs for instant powder stick packs?+

Yes. Pilot runs start at 500–1,000 stick packs per SKU, subject to film availability. For custom printed film, the MOQ is typically 1,000 units because of printing setup. Pilot runs use the same filling lines as mass production, so the sample reflects production quality.

What shipping terms and documents do you provide for instant powder exports?+

We quote EXW, FOB Shenzhen or Hong Kong, and DDP for selected destinations. Documents include COA, MSDS, free-sale certificate, packing list, commercial invoice, and certificate of origin. Phytosanitary certificates are provided where relevant. Air freight is used for urgent orders under 200 kg; sea freight is standard for full pallets.
