Production Capacity and Formats

Our Guangdong plant runs two spray dryers, three drum dryers and four milling lines. Monthly output reaches 40 tonnes of finished extract powder. We produce capsule-ready powders, instant stick packs and bulk drums. Capsule filling runs at 120,000 capsules per shift; stick pack lines at 8,000 sachets per hour. For bulk buyers, we supply 25 kg fibre drums with double polyethylene liners. Every batch is blended in 500 kg stainless steel ribbon mixers to ensure uniformity.

Lead times depend on format. Capsules and stick packs take 20-35 working days from artwork approval. Bulk powder ships in 15-25 working days. We hold 12 common extracts in stock for pilot runs. Custom ratios, such as 15:1 lion's mane or 30% beta-glucan reishi, require 10-15 days for sample development. We can also blend mushroom extracts with adaptogens or vitamins for combination products.

Extraction and Formulation Detail

We use hot water extraction for beta-glucan-rich mushrooms and dual extraction (water and ethanol) for triterpenes. Raw materials arrive as dried fruiting bodies or mycelium. Each lot is tested for identity, heavy metals, pesticides and microbials before processing. Extraction runs at 85-95°C for 2-4 hours. The liquid concentrate is filtered, then spray dried with a carrier such as organic tapioca maltodextrin. Carrier level is 20-50% depending on extract ratio and solubility.

Beta-glucan content is measured by Megazyme assay. We target 10-40% beta-glucan in finished powder. For lion's mane, we also test hericenones and erinacines. For reishi, triterpene content is reported as ganoderic acid. Particle size is 80-100 mesh for capsules, 60-80 mesh for stick packs. Solubility is above 95% for spray-dried grades. We provide a certificate of analysis with every shipment, including a sample of the retained batch.

Quality, Compliance and Logistics

EUPHM is a GMP-certified, FDA-registered facility. We hold ISO 22000, HACCP and BRCGS certifications. Halal and vegan certificates are available on request. Every finished lot is tested for heavy metals (lead, arsenic, cadmium, mercury), microbials (total plate count, yeast, mould, E. coli, salmonella), and residual solvents. We retain samples for 24 months. Documentation includes COA, MSDS, specification sheet and allergen statement.

Shipping is FOB Shenzhen or Hong Kong. We handle export documents, including health certificates and certificates of origin. For US buyers, we provide FDA prior notice support. For EU buyers, we supply EU organic certificates where applicable. Air freight takes 5-8 days to US and EU; sea freight 18-30 days. We ship 20-foot and 40-foot containers, as well as LCL. Payment terms are 30% deposit, 70% before shipment, with TT or LC at sight.

Quality Control and Batch Documentation

Every mushroom extract powder lot is sampled at three points: incoming raw material, in-process extract before drying, and finished powder after blending. Identity is confirmed by macroscopic and microscopic examination plus a reference TLC fingerprint against a retained standard of the same species. Potency testing covers beta-glucan by enzymatic assay and, where the specification calls for it, alpha-glucan ratio and polysaccharide content. Microbials (total plate count, yeast and mould, E. coli, Salmonella), heavy metals (lead, arsenic, cadmium, mercury) and moisture are run on the finished powder before release.

A certificate of analysis accompanies each batch and lists the product name, extract ratio, carrier, batch number, production date, expiry date, test parameters, specification limits, results and the analytical method used. It is signed by the QC manager and references the retained sample number. Buyers who need third-party verification can request testing through an accredited external laboratory; we quote the cost per lot and the additional five to seven working days before the order is confirmed.

Retention samples of 200 g per batch are held for the full shelf life plus six months in sealed foil bags under controlled temperature. The stability protocol runs accelerated conditions at 40 degrees Celsius and 75 percent relative humidity for six months, with pulls at zero, one, two, three and six months testing beta-glucan, moisture, microbials and colour. Real-time data at 25 degrees Celsius is collected in parallel for products with a 24-month claimed shelf life, and results feed into the expiry date assigned on each label run.

Disintegration testing applies to capsule formats and follows the pharmacopoeial method, with a limit of 30 minutes in purified water at 37 degrees Celsius. For stick packs and sachets we test solubility and dispersion in water at 40 degrees Celsius rather than disintegration, since the delivery format differs. Any out-of-specification result triggers a documented investigation, a hold on the batch and written notification to the buyer before any rework or rejection decision is taken.

Packaging, Labelling and Retail Readiness

Retail packaging options include HDPE bottles from 60 cc to 250 cc with induction seals, blister packs for capsule counts of 30 to 120, stick packs of 2 g to 5 g in a three-side-seal format, and single-serve sachets for powder drink mixes. Bulk mushroom extract powder ships in double-lined 25 kg fibre drums or 20 kg foil bags inside cartons. We can supply the primary container from stock or work with a buyer-nominated supplier, and we confirm pack-out weights and headspace tolerances on the approved specification sheet before the first production run.

For US-bound dietary supplements, the label must carry a supplement facts panel with serving size, quantity per serving and percent daily value where established, an ingredient list using the correct botanical names, allergen declaration, net quantity in dual units, and the manufacturer or distributor address with a domestic contact. We lay out artwork to these requirements and flag missing mandatory elements before prepress. EU and UK labels follow the food supplement directive with the nutrition declaration, recommended daily portion, and the mandatory warning not to exceed the stated dose.

Lot and expiry coding is applied by inkjet or laser on the base of bottles, the crimp of stick packs and the end seal of cartons, in a format agreed at artwork approval. We retain the coding specification and a printed sample from each run. Cartons are specified with dimensions, board grade and barcode placement; pallets are built to a maximum height of 1.8 m, stretch-wrapped and labelled with the SSCC and carton count for warehouse receipt.

For Amazon and other marketplace listings we apply FNSKU labels over the existing barcode when the buyer supplies the label file, and we can poly-bag units with the required suffocation warning. Retail compliance support covers case-pack configuration, carton marking for distributor requirements and photographic records of the finished pallet before dispatch. We do not print claims on labels that the buyer has not substantiated; any structure-function wording remains the brand owner's responsibility to verify for the target market.

MOQ, Lead Times and Delivery

Samples of mushroom extract powder are dispatched in seven to ten working days from confirmation of the specification, typically 100 g to 500 g per SKU in foil bags. Sample cost is credited against the first mass-production order. Bulk powder orders carry a minimum of 100 kg per SKU, while retail bottling starts at 1,000 units and pilot runs from 1,000 units. Mass production runs 20 to 35 working days after purchase order and artwork approval, with the longer end applying to multi-SKU orders or custom packaging.

Air freight is used for samples, pilot batches and time-critical launches, with transit of three to seven days to US and EU airports plus customs clearance. Sea freight suits bulk drums and full-container retail orders, taking 25 to 40 days port to port depending on destination. We quote EXW, FOB Shenzhen or Hong Kong, and DDP for buyers who want a landed cost, and we confirm the Incoterm in writing on the proforma invoice before production begins.

Each shipment is accompanied by a certificate of analysis for every batch, a material safety data sheet, and a free-sale certificate where the destination customs authority requires one. For plant-derived powders, a phytosanitary certificate can be arranged on request, and we provide the certificate of origin and packing list as standard. Documents are issued as PDFs before dispatch and the originals travel with the air waybill or bill of lading.

Container loading is photographed and the images are sent to the buyer on the day of dispatch. We book freight against the buyer's nominated forwarder or can quote through our own partners. Where a shipment is delayed by documentation or customs queries, we provide replacement documents within one working day so that clearance is not held up longer than necessary.

How long do samples take?+

Stock extract samples ship in 7-10 working days. Custom ratios or blends take 10-15 working days. You cover courier costs, which are credited against your first order. Samples include COA and specification sheet.

Which mushroom extracts do you produce?+

We produce lion's mane, reishi, cordyceps, chaga, shiitake, maitake and turkey tail. Ratios range from 4:1 to 20:1. Beta-glucan content is 10-40% depending on species and extraction method. Dual-extract grades are available for triterpenes.

Are your facilities certified?+

Yes. EUPHM is GMP-certified, ISO 22000, HACCP and BRCGS. We are FDA-registered. Halal and vegan certificates are available. We provide certificates for each lot on request.

What are your payment and shipping terms?+

Payment is 30% deposit, 70% before shipment via TT or LC at sight. Shipping is FOB Shenzhen or Hong Kong. Air freight takes 5-8 days to US and EU; sea freight 18-30 days. We handle export documents and FDA prior notice.

Can you supply mushroom extract powder with a specified beta-glucan percentage?+

Yes. Beta-glucan is tested on every lot and we produce to agreed ranges, commonly 10 to 40 percent by enzymatic assay. Because beta-glucan varies with species, part used and extraction ratio, we confirm the achievable range from a sample before the specification is fixed. The measured result appears on the certificate of analysis for each batch.

Do you offer organic-certified mushroom extract powder?+

We can produce organic lots where the raw material is sourced from a certified organic supplier and the processing line is scheduled accordingly. Organic status depends on the specific mushroom and the certificate held by the material supplier at the time of order, so we confirm availability and provide the transaction certificate before production. Non-organic equivalents are always available.

How do you handle a batch that fails specification?+

The batch is placed on hold and the buyer is notified in writing with the failing parameter and the analytical result. We carry out a documented root cause investigation and propose either rework, re-blending within specification where technically valid, or rejection. No failed material is shipped, and the disposition decision is recorded against the batch number in the quality file.
