Ginger Powder Production Capability

Our Guangdong facility processes ginger root through washing, slicing, drying, and milling. We control particle size from 40 to 100 mesh. Moisture stays below 8%, and volatile oil content is tested per batch. Lines run at 500 kg per hour for milling and blending. For capsule filling, we operate automatic machines at 80,000 capsules per hour. Stick pack lines run at 300 packs per minute.

We handle both conventional and organic ginger. Raw material arrives from contracted farms in Guangxi and Yunnan. Each lot is quarantined until identity, potency, and microbiology tests pass. We do not release material based on supplier certificates alone.

Formulation and Ingredient Details

Ginger powder works in capsules, drink mixes, and functional foods. We blend with excipients such as rice hull, silica, or magnesium stearate at 0.5-2% to improve flow. For drink mixes, we adjust mesh to 60-80 for faster dispersion. Taste masking uses natural flavours or citric acid at 1-3%. We can add other actives like turmeric, black pepper extract, or vitamin B6.

If you need organic certification, we source or EU organic ginger. Vegan capsules use HPMC shells. Halal certificates are available for the finished product. We test for pesticide residues, heavy metals, and solvent residues to meet EU and US limits.

Quality, Compliance, and Logistics

Every batch ships with a certificate of analysis covering assay, mesh, moisture, ash, heavy metals, and microbiological counts. We retain samples for 24 months. Our facility is GMP-certified, ISO 22000, and HACCP. We are FDA-registered for dietary supplements. We do not claim FDA approval. Documents for halal and vegan are issued per order.

Lead times are 20-35 working days for mass production after sample approval. We ship FOB Shenzhen or Yantian. Air freight samples go out in 3-5 days. We handle export documentation, including health certificates and free sale certificates. For US orders, we provide prior notice support.

Quality Control and Batch Documentation

Every ginger powder batch is sampled at three points: incoming raw material, in-process blending, and finished bulk. Identity is confirmed by macroscopic and microscopic examination, and where required by HPLC fingerprinting of gingerols and shogaols. Potency is expressed as total gingerol content, typically 1.0 to 2.5 percent by HPLC, and each lot is tested against the agreed specification before release. Microbial testing covers total plate count, yeast and mould, E. coli, Salmonella, and Staphylococcus aureus, with limits set to EU and US pharmacopoeial expectations.

Heavy metals (lead, arsenic, cadmium, mercury) and pesticide residues are tested on a risk-based frequency, at minimum once per supplier lot and quarterly for ongoing suppliers. For ginger, we also screen for sulphite residues where bleaching or sulphur treatment is suspected. Disintegration testing is performed on finished capsules from each production run, with a target of under 30 minutes in purified water at 37°C. Results are recorded in the batch manufacturing record and summarised in the certificate of analysis.

The COA issued with each shipment includes batch number, manufacturing date, expiry date, appearance, mesh size, moisture, total gingerol content, microbial results, heavy metals, and disintegration time where applicable. It references the specification version and the analytical methods used. A retained sample of at least 200 g per batch is stored under controlled conditions for 24 months after the expiry date, allowing re-testing if a customer query arises.

Stability follows a real-time protocol at 25°C/60% RH and 30°C/65% RH, with accelerated conditions at 40°C/75% RH for three months. Parameters monitored include gingerol content, moisture, microbial count, and organoleptic change. Data is used to support the labelled shelf life, typically 24 months for bulk powder and 18 to 24 months for finished capsules, depending on packaging format.

Packaging, Labelling and Retail Readiness

We fill ginger powder into HDPE bottles (60, 90, 120, 180, and 250 cc), blister packs, stick packs, and single-serve sachets. Bottles can be supplied with induction seals, desiccant sachets, and child-resistant or standard closures. Stick packs are typically 2 to 5 g, filled on vertical form-fill-seal lines with nitrogen flushing where oxidative sensitivity requires it. Bulk powder ships in 25 kg food-grade polyethylene-lined fibre drums or 20 kg foil bags inside cartons.

For US retail, labels must include the supplement facts panel, ingredient list, allergen statement, net quantity, suggested use, and the manufacturer or distributor address. We support FDA dietary-supplement label review by providing the technical content: ingredient names, plant part, strength, and batch-specific assay values. For EU markets, we align with FIC regulation requirements, including nutrition declaration and botanical naming. We do not provide legal advice, but we check that the label content matches the batch specification before printing.

Lot and expiry coding is applied by inkjet or laser on the bottle, carton, and shipper. We use a Julian date code plus a sequential lot number, and can accommodate customer-specific coding formats. Cartons are specified with dimensions, board grade, and print colours, and pallets are configured to standard 1200 x 1000 mm or 1200 x 800 mm footprints. Shrink wrap and corner boards are used for export, with pallet labels showing lot, quantity, and handling instructions.

For Amazon FNSKU and retail compliance, we can apply FNSKU labels, poly-bag products with suffocation warnings, and prepare cartons to Amazon's carton labelling and weight limits. We do not manage seller central accounts, but we provide the pack data, dimensions, and weights needed for shipment planning. Retail-ready packaging, including shelf-ready trays and display cartons, is available on request and quoted separately.

MOQ, Lead Times and Delivery

Sampling starts with a technical data sheet and a 100 to 200 g sample of the bulk powder, typically dispatched within 7 to 10 working days. If a custom formulation or capsule fill is required, a pilot batch of 500 to 1,000 units is produced after specification agreement, adding 10 to 15 working days. Sample costs are credited against the first mass-production order.

Mass production runs 20 to 35 working days after sample approval and receipt of deposit, depending on packaging format and line scheduling. Capsules and stick packs share capacity with other powder products, so we confirm the slot at order acknowledgement. Bulk powder in 25 kg drums is usually faster, at 15 to 25 working days. We provide a production schedule with milestone dates and a pre-shipment inspection report before dispatch.

Air freight is used for samples and urgent orders, with transit times of 5 to 10 days door to door. Sea freight is standard for mass production, at 25 to 40 days depending on destination port. We quote EXW, FOB Shenzhen or Hong Kong, and DDP for selected markets. DDP quotes include duties and clearance but exclude any destination-specific regulatory registration fees, which remain the buyer's responsibility.

Shipping documents include the commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading or airway bill, certificate of analysis, material safety data sheet, and a free-sale certificate where required. For plant-based ingredients, a phytosanitary certificate can be arranged if the destination country requires it. Certificates of origin are available on request. We share scanned copies before dispatch so the buyer can review and confirm before the original set is couriered.
