MCT Oil Powder Manufacturer for Private Label Brands

MCT Oil Powder Manufacturer for Private Label Brands

EUPHM produces spray-dried MCT oil powder in 500 g to 25 kg batches. MOQ starts at 1,000 units per SKU. Samples ship in 7–10 working days. Production runs 20–35 working days.

Overview

MCT oil powder is a spray-dried emulsion of medium-chain triglycerides on a carrier such as acacia fibre, maltodextrin or coconut milk powder. It mixes into coffee, shakes and keto snacks without the oil separation that affects liquid MCT. As a GMP-certified contract manufacturer in Guangdong, EUPHM handles carrier selection, spray drying, blending, filling and labelling for retail and bulk formats. This page covers specifications, options and lead times for buyers sourcing a dedicated powder line.

Spray-Drying and Powder Line Capability

EUPHM operates a spray-drying tower with an inlet temperature range of 160–190°C and outlet control at 80–90°C. This produces free-flowing MCT oil powder with a bulk density of 0.35–0.55 g/mL and a particle size of 80–200 microns. Two ribbon blenders and one V-blender handle 500 kg batches. The powder line fills pouches, jars and sachets at 30–60 units per minute, depending on fill weight.

For pilot runs, the plant can produce 50–100 kg of finished powder before committing to a 1,000-unit retail order. Bulk powder ships in 20 kg or 25 kg food-grade PE-lined kraft bags or fibre drums. Nitrogen flushing is available for pouches to extend shelf life to 18–24 months. Every batch is sampled at three points: after spray drying, after blending and after filling.

Carrier and Formulation Choices for MCT Powder

The carrier determines mouthfeel, solubility and label positioning. Acacia fibre gives a clean label and 85–90% solubility in water at 20°C. Maltodextrin DE 18–20 offers higher loading at lower cost but adds 3–4 g of carbohydrate per 10 g serving. Coconut milk powder improves taste but introduces allergens. EUPHM keeps stock of all three and can run a 5 kg trial blend for sensory testing before you commit.

Flavour systems include vanilla, cocoa, matcha, salted caramel and unflavoured. Sweetener options are monk fruit, stevia, allulose or none. You can add 500 mg to 2 g of additional actives per serving, such as collagen peptides, L-theanine or electrolytes. Formulation support covers overage calculations, flow agent selection and compatibility testing with your chosen packaging.

Quality Control and Export Documentation

Each batch of MCT oil powder is tested for peroxide value (≤ 1.0 meq/kg), free fatty acids (≤ 0.1%), moisture (≤ 3.0%) and total plate count (≤ 1,000 CFU/g). EUPHM holds GMP, ISO 22000 and HACCP certifications. Halal and organic certificates are available per SKU. The facility is FDA-registered for US export. We do not claim FDA approval for any product.

Export paperwork includes certificate of analysis, certificate of origin, health certificate, halal certificate, and MSDS if required. Shipping from Shenzhen or Hong Kong ports takes 18–28 days to US West Coast, 25–35 days to EU ports, and 12–20 days to Jebel Ali. Air freight for samples or urgent orders arrives in 3–7 days. EUPHM provides full traceability from raw material lot to finished unit.

Quality Control and Batch Documentation

Every batch of MCT oil powder is tested at three points: incoming raw materials, in-process during spray drying and blending, and finished goods. Incoming MCT oil is checked for fatty acid profile (C8/C10 ratio by GC), peroxide value and acid value. Carriers such as acacia fibre or maltodextrin are tested for moisture, microbials and identity. During production, line samples are taken every 30 minutes to monitor bulk density, moisture content (target below 4%) and appearance. Finished powder is tested for oil loading, moisture, water activity, microbials (total plate count, yeast and mould, E. coli, Salmonella), heavy metals (lead, arsenic, cadmium, mercury) and, where applicable, disintegration for stick formats.

Each batch has a certificate of analysis (COA) that lists the tests performed, specification limits, results and the analytical methods used. The COA also states the batch number, production date, expiry date and quantity produced. For buyers who need it, we can include a declaration of allergen status, a GMO statement and a country-of-origin declaration for the MCT oil and carrier. Retention samples of every batch are kept for the full shelf life plus six months, stored under controlled conditions. Stability testing follows an accelerated protocol at 40°C/75% RH for six months, with real-time testing at 25°C/60% RH running in parallel for the declared shelf life of 24 months.

Microbial testing is performed by an external accredited laboratory, with results typically available within five working days. Heavy metal testing uses ICP-MS and is also outsourced. For halal certification, the production line is segregated and cleaning validation records are kept. If a batch fails any specification, it is placed on hold, investigated and either reworked under a deviation protocol or rejected. Buyers receive a batch-specific COA before shipment and can request a copy of the retention sample test report for any batch within the last two years.

Packaging, Labelling and Retail Readiness

MCT oil powder is filled into pouches, jars, sticks or sachets depending on the retail channel. Standard pouch formats are 100 g, 250 g, 500 g and 1 kg with a zipper and tear notch, using metallised or kraft-look film with a moisture barrier. Jars are 120 g to 300 g in PET or HDPE with induction seals. Stick packs are 5 g to 15 g, ideal for sample packs or single-serve coffee additions. Sachets can be flat or stick style. We can apply lot codes and expiry dates by inkjet or laser, and we support serialised coding for traceability if required.

For the US market, we set up the principal display panel and information panel according to FDA dietary supplement labelling rules: statement of identity, net quantity, supplement facts panel with serving size and active ingredients (MCT oil content per serving), other ingredients (carrier), and the name and place of business of the distributor. We can also include structure/function claims only if the buyer provides substantiation and the required disclaimer. For the EU, we follow FIC regulation for food labelling, including nutrition declaration and allergen information. We do not print claims without buyer sign-off and written substantiation.

Cartons are standard export grade, typically 12 to 24 retail units per carton, with dimensions and gross weight printed on the side. Palletisation follows a 1,200 mm x 1,000 mm or 1,200 mm x 800 mm footprint, stretch-wrapped and strapped, with a maximum height of 1,800 mm including pallet. For Amazon FBA, we can apply FNSKU labels, poly-bag units and print the required expiration date format (MM/DD/YYYY or as specified). We also handle retail compliance for Tesco, Whole Foods and similar chains, including case pack labelling and SSCC barcodes. Artwork approval is required before printing, and we provide a digital proof and a physical pre-production sample for sign-off.

MOQ, Lead Times and Delivery

The minimum order quantity for retail pouches is 1,000 units per SKU, depending on fill size and packaging format. For pilot runs or new brands, we can accept 1,000 units with a surcharge to cover line setup and material waste. Bulk powder orders start at 100 kg. Samples are produced within 7 to 10 working days after formula and packaging specifications are agreed. Sample costs are quoted per project and are typically credited against the first mass production order if it exceeds the MOQ.

Mass production takes 20 to 35 working days after receipt of deposit and approval of artwork and pre-production samples. This window includes raw material procurement, spray drying, blending, filling, labelling and packing. If the order requires custom printed packaging, add 10 to 15 working days for print production. We provide a production schedule with milestone dates at order confirmation. Quality inspection and COA issuance occur before shipment, and we send photos of finished goods and packing lists for approval before dispatch.

We ship under EXW, FOB Shenzhen or Hong Kong, or DDP to your door. Air freight takes 5 to 10 days to the US or EU, while sea freight takes 25 to 35 days to the US West Coast and 30 to 40 days to Europe. For small orders, express couriers are used. Documents provided include commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading or airway bill, COA, MSDS, free-sale certificate (where required), and phytosanitary certificate for plant-derived carriers if the destination country requests it. We also provide a certificate of origin for preferential tariff treatment where applicable. All documents are issued in English and can be legalised or attested by a chamber of commerce on request.

Questions buyers ask.

What is the MOQ for MCT oil powder in retail pouches?+

MOQ is 1,000 units per SKU for retail pouches, jars and tubs. For stick sachets, MOQ is 5,000 units. Pilot runs start at 50–100 kg of bulk powder, which lets you test the formula before committing to a full retail order.

How long does sample production take?+

Samples ship in 7–10 working days after we receive your brief and confirm the carrier and flavour. You get 500 g to 1 kg of finished powder. Two revision rounds are included. Courier delivery to the US or EU takes 3–5 days.

Can you produce organic or halal MCT oil powder?+

Yes. EUPHM holds halal certification for applicable SKUs. Organic MCT powder requires organic carriers such as organic acacia fibre and organic MCT oil. Certificate copies are provided with the certificate of analysis for each batch.

What is the shelf life and how should it be stored?+

Shelf life is 18–24 months in unopened packaging. Store below 25°C, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Nitrogen-flushed pouches and induction-sealed jars maintain quality. Once opened, use within 60 days for best flowability.

What documentation do you provide for export?+

Each shipment includes certificate of analysis, certificate of origin, health certificate, halal certificate if applicable, and MSDS on request. EUPHM provides full lot traceability from raw material to finished unit. The facility is FDA-registered for US-bound orders.

What is the typical oil loading tolerance for MCT oil powder?+

We guarantee the declared oil content within ±2% by weight. For example, a 70% MCT powder will test between 68% and 72% oil. This tolerance is verified by solvent extraction or NMR on every batch, and the result is stated on the COA. If your application requires a tighter range, we can adjust the process and set a narrower specification, though this may affect yield and price.

Can you supply MCT oil powder with a specific C8/C10 ratio?+

Yes. We stock C8/C10 ratios of 60/40 and 70/30, and we can source or blend to other ratios such as 50/50 or 80/20, subject to raw material availability. The ratio is confirmed by gas chromatography on each batch of incoming oil and on the finished powder. Specify your target ratio and tolerance at inquiry, and we will include it in the product specification and COA.

Do you offer low-carb or keto-friendly carriers for MCT oil powder?+

Yes. We use acacia fibre, which contributes minimal digestible carbohydrate, and coconut milk powder for a dairy-free option. Maltodextrin is available but adds carbohydrate, so it is not suitable for strict keto claims. We can also use resistant dextrin or inulin. The carrier choice affects net carb content per serving, so we provide a nutrition calculation for each option before you finalise the label.
