Pre-Workout Powder Manufacturer for Retail and Private Label

Pre-Workout Powder Manufacturer for Retail and Private Label

EUPHM produces pre-workout powders in stick packs, jars and sachets at 1,000 unit MOQs. GMP, ISO 22000 and HACCP certified lines handle caffeine, beta-alanine, citrulline and custom blends.

Overview

Sourcing a pre-workout powder manufacturer means balancing formulation, flavour and regulatory load. EUPHM runs high-shear blending, fluid-bed drying where needed, and precision filling for 5g to 30g doses. We hold GMP, ISO 22000 and HACCP certifications, with halal and vegan options on request. Pilot runs start below retail MOQ so you can validate taste and label claims before scaling to 20–35 day mass production.

Blending and Filling Capability

Pre-workout blends are hygroscopic and often include 3g or more of beta-alanine, 6g citrulline malate and 200mg caffeine per serve. Our lines use low-humidity blending rooms at 45% RH or below, with ribbon and V-blenders sized from 50kg to 500kg batches. That keeps dose uniformity within ±5% across the run.

Filling runs on servo auger systems for stick packs and sachets, plus net-weight fillers for 300g–600g jars. Typical line speed is 40–80 units per minute for stick packs and 30–50 jars per minute. We can run multiple flavours in one campaign with validated clean-down between SKUs, so a 1,000-unit MOQ per flavour is workable.

Formulation and Ingredient Sourcing

We source caffeine anhydrous, citrulline malate, beta-alanine, taurine, L-theanine, creatine monohydrate and electrolytes from audited suppliers with CoAs per lot. Doses follow your label or our formulators can build a base formula. Common targets: 150–300mg caffeine, 1.6–3.2g beta-alanine, 6–8g citrulline malate, and 2–5g creatine per serve.

Flavour systems cover fruit, candy, citrus and neutral profiles. We test sweetness with sucralose, stevia or monk fruit, and can reduce bitterness from beta-alanine with masking agents. Vegan and organic variants are available where the ingredient list allows. Every formula is checked against EU, UK, US and Middle East additive rules before sampling.

Quality Control and Order Logistics

Each batch is tested for identity, potency, heavy metals, microbial load and moisture. We retain samples for 24 months and issue a CoA with every shipment. The facility is FDA-registered and operates under GMP, ISO 22000 and HACCP. Halal certification can be arranged when the formula and line schedule allow.

Orders ship FOB Shenzhen or Hong Kong, with air and sea options. Cartons are sized for retail and e-commerce, and we can apply labels, shrink bands and batch codes. Lead time is 20–35 working days after sample sign-off. Documentation includes CoA, MSDS, nutritional panel support and certificate of origin.

Quality Control and Batch Documentation

Every pre-workout batch is sampled at three points: incoming raw materials, in-process blend, and finished filled units. Identity testing by FTIR confirms each active, including caffeine, beta-alanine, citrulline malate and creatine. Potency assays by HPLC verify label claims within ±5% for actives with established methods. Microbial testing covers total aerobic count, yeast and mould, E. coli and Salmonella, with results released before filling. Heavy metals (lead, arsenic, cadmium, mercury) are screened by ICP-MS against USP <232> limits. Disintegration testing applies to tablet or capsule formats; for powders, solubility and particle size distribution are checked instead.

A certificate of analysis (COA) accompanies each batch and lists batch number, manufacturing date, expiry date, tests performed, specification limits, results and pass/fail status. It also names the testing laboratory and the release signature. Retention samples of every batch are held for 24 months at 20–25°C and 60% RH, or for the product's shelf life if longer. Stability protocols follow ICH Q1A(R2) accelerated conditions (40°C/75% RH for six months) and real-time conditions for the declared shelf life, typically 18–24 months for stick packs and 24 months for HDPE jars.

For pre-workout powders, flavour and colour uniformity are checked by sensory panel on each blend, and caffeine content is verified separately because it is the most common label claim audited by retailers. If a batch fails any specification, it is quarantined, investigated under a CAPA record, and not released. Batch records, deviation reports and COAs are retained for five years and can be provided as a documentation pack for retailer or importer audits.

Packaging, Labelling and Retail Readiness

Pre-workout powder fills into stick packs (5–10g), sachets (10–30g), HDPE jars (300–600g) with scoop, and stand-up pouches (250–500g). Stick packs run at 40–60 cycles per minute; jar filling uses auger or volumetric fillers with ±2% weight control. Bottles can include induction seals, desiccant sachets and child-resistant closures where caffeine content requires them. Blister and stick formats suit sample or travel packs. Cartons are specified to your retail or e-commerce requirement: typical master carton 12–24 units, with gross weight and dimensions printed on the case.

For US-bound product, we prepare camera-ready labels that include the Supplement Facts panel, serving size, amount per serving, percent daily value where applicable, other ingredients, allergen statement, and the FDA disclaimer for structure/function claims. Lot number and expiry date are inkjet-coded on each unit and carton, with format matching your specification (e.g. LOT YYMMDD, EXP YYMM). For Amazon FNSKU and retail compliance, we apply FNSKU labels, poly-bag units where required, and print carton labels with ASIN, quantity and expiration in the format your seller account requires. We do not provide regulatory review for claims; final label approval remains with your brand.

Pallet specifications are built to your DC or 3PL requirements: standard 48x40 in or 1200x1000 mm pallets, stretch-wrapped and corner-boarded, with a maximum height of 1.8–2.0 m and a declared unit count per pallet. We can ship floor-loaded or palletised, and provide packing lists that match carton counts to avoid receiving discrepancies. For EU retail, we can apply the responsible person address and symbol, and for UK retail the UKCA or relevant marking where the product falls under cosmetic or general product safety rules. All packaging components are food-contact compliant and supported by migration test declarations where requested.

MOQ, Lead Times and Delivery

Sampling starts with a formulation brief and target dose. We provide a quotation within two working days, then produce a 500g–1kg sample in 7–10 working days. Sample cost is credited against the first mass-production order. Mass production runs 20–35 working days after sample approval and receipt of deposit, depending on flavour count, packaging format and whether components are stock or custom. MOQ is 1,000 units per SKU for retail runs, with lower thresholds for pilot batches so you can test market response before scaling.

Shipping is by air or sea. Air freight from Guangdong to US or EU hubs takes 5–10 days door-to-door for 100–500kg; sea freight takes 25–40 days port-to-port, or 30–45 days door-to-door with customs clearance. We quote EXW, FOB Shenzhen/Hong Kong, or DDP to your warehouse. DDP includes duties and customs clearance but requires accurate HS codes and product descriptions; we provide these from the formulation and packaging data. For repeat orders, we hold artwork and component specifications to reduce re-order lead time by 3–5 days.

Documents provided with each shipment include commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading or air waybill, certificate of analysis, material safety data sheet (MSDS) for the finished powder, and a free-sale certificate where your market requires one. Phytosanitary certificates are not applicable to synthetic or fermented supplement powders but can be arranged for botanical ingredients on request. We also provide a certificate of origin for preferential tariff treatment where applicable. All documents are issued in English and can be legalised or apostilled if your importer requires it.

Questions buyers ask.

What is the MOQ for pre-workout powder manufacturing?+

Standard retail MOQ is 1,000 units per SKU. For pilot runs we can go lower, often 1,000 units, depending on packaging and flavour. Each flavour counts as a separate SKU, so a three-flavour launch typically starts at 9,000–15,000 units total.

How long does sampling take?+

Sample lead time is 7–10 working days after we receive your brief and confirm the formula. That includes 2–3 flavour or dose variants. Shipping samples by courier adds 3–5 days depending on destination. We provide a spec sheet and CoA with each sample.

Can you match a competitor's pre-workout formula?+

We can reverse-engineer based on your label targets, not a competitor's exact trade secret. Send the doses you want per serve, and we build a base formula. Common targets are 200mg caffeine, 3.2g beta-alanine and 6g citrulline malate. We then adjust flavour and mouthfeel.

Which certifications apply to pre-workout?+

The facility holds GMP, ISO 22000 and HACCP. Halal certification can be arranged if the formula and line schedule allow. vegan options are available for specific ingredient lists. We do not claim FDA approval; the facility is FDA-registered.

What is the production lead time after sample approval?+

Mass production is 20–35 working days after sample sign-off and deposit. That covers raw material procurement, blending, filling, QC and packing. Peak season from September to November can add 5–7 days. We confirm the schedule in the PO.

Can you provide a certificate of analysis before shipment?+

Yes. A draft COA is issued after finished-goods testing and before shipment, listing batch number, tests, specifications and results. The final signed COA is included in the shipping documents. If your importer requires third-party verification, we can arrange testing at an accredited external laboratory at additional cost and lead time.

Do you offer low-MOQ pilot runs for new pre-workout brands?+

Yes. Pilot runs start below the standard 1,000 unit MOQ, typically 500–1,000 units per SKU, using stock packaging components. This lets you validate flavour, label claims and retail response before committing to a full production run. Pilot pricing is higher per unit, and the difference is credited against the first mass-production order.

What shipping terms and documents do you provide for export orders?+

We quote EXW, FOB Shenzhen/Hong Kong, or DDP to your warehouse. Each shipment includes commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading or air waybill, COA, MSDS and a free-sale certificate where required. Certificates of origin are available for tariff purposes. We do not arrange phytosanitary certificates for synthetic powders, but can for botanical ingredients on request.
