Tableting Capability for Beauty Formulas

Rotary presses at EUPHM run at 30-60 strokes per minute, producing 250 mg to 1,500 mg tablets. We use direct compression or wet granulation depending on the actives. Biotin at 5,000 mcg and collagen at 500 mg are common. Tooling changes take under 2 hours. In-process checks every 30 minutes monitor weight, thickness, hardness and friability.

Coating options include film, sugar and enteric. Film coating masks odour from fish collagen or sulphur-based ingredients. Chewable tablets use xylitol or sorbitol bases. We run pilot batches of 1,000 units for stability and sensory review before scaling. Typical yield loss is 2-4% across a 500,000-tablet run.

Ingredient Selection and Formulation Support

Standard hair, skin and nails formulas combine biotin, zinc, selenium, vitamin C, vitamin E and hydrolysed collagen. We source collagen types I and III from bovine or marine sources. Vegan alternatives use silica from bamboo and vitamin C from acerola. Each active is assayed on receipt. Overages of 5-15% compensate for degradation over a 24-month shelf life.

We help brands avoid common tableting problems. High-dose vitamin C can cause sticking; we add microcrystalline cellulose or silicon dioxide. Collagen peptides improve compressibility when granulated. Zinc oxide is dense and needs a binder. Our R&D team provides a written formulation report with a trial batch. Lead time for a custom formula is 10-15 working days.

Quality, Compliance and Export Logistics

EUPHM operates an FDA-registered facility. We hold GMP, ISO 22000 and HACCP certifications. Halal certificates cover the full tablet line. vegan claims are supported by supplier declarations and finished-product testing. Every batch has a certificate of analysis covering assay, micro, heavy metals and disintegration.

We ship to the US, EU, UK and Middle East. Documents include commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin and health certificate. Air freight samples arrive in 3-5 days. Sea freight for full orders takes 18-30 days depending on port. We can label and pack in your retail bottles or supply bulk tablets in 25 kg drums.

Quality Control and Batch Documentation

Every batch of hair, skin and nails tablets is tested against a written specification before release. Incoming raw materials are sampled at 100% of containers for identity by FTIR or HPLC, and each active is assayed for potency. Biotin, zinc and collagen are checked against certificate of analysis claims with a tolerance of 95.0 to 105.0% of label. Microbial testing covers total aerobic count, yeast and mould, E. coli, Salmonella and Staphylococcus aureus, with heavy metals screened by ICP-MS for lead, arsenic, cadmium and mercury against EU and US limits.

In-process checks run at start-up, every 30 minutes and at the end of each compression run. Weight variation is held within plus or minus 5% of target, hardness within a 2 kp window, and thickness within 0.2 mm. Disintegration testing follows USP <701> or Ph. Eur. 2.9.1, with uncoated tablets required to disintegrate within 15 minutes and coated tablets within 30 minutes. Friability is measured on a 10-tablet sample and must stay below 1.0% loss. Any deviation triggers a hold and a documented investigation before the batch can proceed.

A certificate of analysis accompanies every shipment and lists batch number, manufacturing date, expiry date, tablet weight, hardness, disintegration result, assay values for each active, microbial results and heavy metal results. Where a botanical marker compound is present, its content is reported separately. Retention samples of at least twice the quantity needed for full testing are stored for the shelf life plus 12 months. Stability is run on the first three production batches and then annually, at 25 degrees Celsius and 60% relative humidity for 24 months, with accelerated conditions at 40 degrees Celsius and 75% relative humidity for six months.

Packaging, Labelling and Retail Readiness

Hair, skin and nails tablets can be packed in high-density polyethylene bottles from 60 to 180 cc with induction seals and child-resistant or standard caps, in PVC or PVDC blister packs of 10 to 30 tablets per card, in stick packs of 5 to 10 g for powder-on-tablet formats, or in single-dose sachets. Bottle filling runs at up to 120 bottles per minute with inline desiccant and cotton options. We hold a library of stock moulds for round, oval and caplet shapes, so no tooling cost applies to standard formats. Custom tooling takes 15 to 20 working days.

For the US market, labels must carry the statement of identity, net quantity of contents, supplement facts panel with nutrient amounts and percent daily value, ingredient list in descending order, and the name and place of business of the manufacturer, packer or distributor. We print lot number and expiry date by inkjet or laser on the bottle, carton and shipper, with a minimum character height of 1.6 mm. Expiry is set at 24 months from the date of manufacture unless stability data supports a longer period. We supply dielines and artwork templates and review print-ready files against FDA 21 CFR 101 requirements before plates are made.

Cartons are specified in B-flute or E-flute with a 350 gsm to 400 gsm outer liner, and pallets are standard 1,200 by 1,000 mm or 1,200 by 800 mm depending on destination, stretch-wrapped and strapped. Amazon sellers can receive FNSKU labels applied at carton level, poly-bagged bottles where required, and carton weights kept under 22.7 kg for manual handling. Retail compliance support covers GS1 barcode placement, Nutrition Facts versus Supplement Facts panel selection, and allergen statements for gelatin or fish-derived collagen. We do not provide legal sign-off; final label approval remains with the brand owner.

MOQ, Lead Times and Delivery

Sampling starts with a formulation brief and a target dosage form. We provide 50 to 100 g of placebo or active blend for sensory review, then produce 100 to 300 tablets for lab testing within 7 to 10 working days. Sample tablets are shipped by courier at the buyer's account, with a proforma invoice and a preliminary COA. If the sample requires adjustment, one revision round is included at no charge. A signed sample approval and a 30% deposit release the production slot.

Mass production runs 20 to 35 working days after approval, depending on tablet count, coating requirements and packaging complexity. A 500,000-tablet order in stock bottles typically ships in 25 working days. Air freight from Guangdong to Los Angeles takes 5 to 7 days door to door, to Rotterdam 6 to 8 days, and to London 5 to 7 days. Sea freight to the US West Coast takes 18 to 25 days, to Northern Europe 30 to 38 days, and to Jebel Ali 22 to 28 days. We quote EXW, FOB Shenzhen or Hong Kong, CIF and DDP where the destination allows.

Each shipment includes a commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of analysis, material safety data sheet where applicable, and a free-sale certificate. A certificate of origin can be issued for preferential tariff treatment. For botanical ingredients, a phytosanitary certificate is provided when the destination authority requires it. We do not issue organic transaction certificates unless the specific ingredient is covered by our organic scope. Shipping documents are sent by email within 48 hours of departure, and original bills of lading are couriered on request.

Questions buyers ask.

What is the MOQ for hair, skin and nails tablets?+

Standard MOQ is 1,000 units per SKU for retail bottling. Pilot runs can be lower, from 1,000 units, with a per-unit surcharge. Bulk tablets in 25 kg drums start at 1,000 units. We do not charge tooling fees for standard round or oval sizes.

How long does sample production take?+

7-10 working days after you approve the formula and pay the sample fee. The fee is credited against your first mass production order. Samples ship by air, arriving in 3-5 days to the US, EU or UK. You receive 30-50 tablets for sensory and stability review.

Can you make vegan hair, skin and nails tablets?+

Yes. We replace bovine or marine collagen with bamboo silica and acerola vitamin C. We avoid gelatin, magnesium stearate from animal sources and shellac. Vegan certification is available. The formula performs similarly in compression, though taste may differ slightly in chewable formats.

What certifications does your facility hold?+

GMP, ISO 22000, HACCP, halal. We are an FDA-registered facility. vegan certificates are available on request. Each batch comes with a certificate of analysis covering assay, microbiology, heavy metals and disintegration. We can also provide allergen and GMO statements.

Do you help with label compliance for the EU or US?+

We review your artwork for mandatory statements: ingredient list, allergen declaration, net quantity, best-before date and supplement facts or nutrition panel. We do not provide legal sign-off, but our checklist reduces rejections at customs. For the EU, we verify claims against the EU Register. For the US, we check FDA labelling rules.

Do you provide stability data for hair, skin and nails tablets before I place a bulk order?+

Yes. For a new formula, we run accelerated stability at 40 degrees Celsius and 75% relative humidity for three months and provide interim data with the sample. Real-time data at 25 degrees Celsius and 60% relative humidity is generated on the first three production batches and shared at 3, 6, 12 and 24 months. If you need a specific market claim, we can include assay, disintegration and microbial checks at each interval.

Can you match a competitor's hair, skin and nails tablet for hardness, size and coating?+

We can match dimensional and physical parameters such as tablet weight, thickness, hardness and coating type from a supplied sample. We do not reverse-engineer proprietary formulas. Our lab measures the sample and proposes a comparable tooling and coating specification, then produces a trial batch for your approval. Tooling for a non-standard shape takes 15 to 20 working days, and the trial batch is typically 500 to 1,000 tablets.

What is the shelf life of your hair, skin and nails tablets, and how is expiry determined?+

Standard shelf life is 24 months from the date of manufacture, based on real-time stability data at 25 degrees Celsius and 60% relative humidity. Expiry is printed on the bottle, carton and shipper. If you require a 36-month shelf life, we run an extended stability protocol and release the longer date only after 12 months of real-time data plus bracketed accelerated results. Tablets with live probiotics or high moisture botanicals may be limited to 18 months.
