Joint Health Capsule Manufacturer for Global Brands
EUPHM produces joint health capsules at scale. Glucosamine, chondroitin, turmeric, collagen, MSM. MOQ 1,000 units per SKU. GMP, ISO 22000, HACCP certified. Samples in 7–10 working days.
Overview
Sourcing joint health capsules means matching actives, dosage forms and certifications to your market. EUPHM runs capsule filling, blending and packaging from a GMP-certified plant in Guangdong, China. We handle glucosamine sulfate, chondroitin, turmeric extracts, collagen peptides and MSM in hard-shell capsules. Pilot runs start lower than retail MOQ. Mass production runs 20–35 working days after sample approval. Certifications cover GMP, ISO 22000, HACCP, plus halal and organic where required.

Capsule Filling Capacity and Formats
Our capsule lines run hard-shell gelatin and HPMC (vegan) capsules in sizes 0, 00 and 00el. Fill weights range from 300 mg to 1,200 mg depending on powder density and blend flow. We fill single-ingredient and multi-ingredient joint formulas, including glucosamine-chondroitin combinations and turmeric-curcumin blends with black pepper extract. Line capacity supports runs from 5,000 to 500,000 capsules per batch. We operate separate suites for allergen and non-allergen products to reduce cross-contact risk. Bottling lines handle 30, 60, 90, 120 and 180 count HDPE or PET bottles with induction seals, child-resistant caps and label application.
For joint health capsules, blending is often the critical step. Glucosamine sulfate and chondroitin sulfate are hygroscopic and can clump. We control blending at 20–25°C and below 45% relative humidity, then hold blended powder in sealed containers before filling. This keeps fill weight variation within ±3% across the batch. If your formula includes oils or softgel-only actives, we can quote softgel capsules separately. For standard hard-shell capsules, tooling changes take 2–4 hours between products. That keeps small pilot runs practical without long changeover delays.
Joint Health Ingredients and Formulation Support
Common actives we handle include glucosamine sulfate (potassium or sodium chloride), glucosamine hydrochloride, chondroitin sulfate (bovine, porcine or marine), MSM, turmeric extract (standardised to 95% curcuminoids), boswellia serrata, collagen peptides (types I, II and III), hyaluronic acid, and vitamin C. We also work with undenatured type II collagen and eggshell membrane. Dosages are set by your label claims. Typical capsule formulas carry 500–750 mg glucosamine and 400–600 mg chondroitin per serving, often split across 2–3 capsules. We can adjust excipients to meet clean-label requirements: rice hull, silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate or none at all.
Our formulation team reviews your target label and suggests adjustments for capsule size, flow and stability. If a formula needs a higher active load than a single capsule can hold, we propose a two-capsule serving or a larger capsule size. We do not supply finished formulations as stock products. Every batch is made to your specification. For markets that require organic certification, we source or EU-organic glucosamine and turmeric where available. Vegan capsules use HPMC shells. Halal certification is available for both the capsule shell and the fill. Documentation includes certificate of analysis, MSDS and allergen statements.
Quality Control, Compliance and Shipping
Every incoming lot of glucosamine, chondroitin, turmeric or collagen is tested for identity, potency and heavy metals before release to production. In-process checks cover fill weight, capsule appearance and seal integrity at start-up, mid-run and end of run. Finished capsules are tested for microbial limits, heavy metals, and where relevant, solvent residues. We retain samples for 24 months. Batch records and certificates of analysis are issued per lot. Our facility is GMP-certified, ISO 22000 and HACCP compliant. We are FDA-registered for dietary supplements. We do not claim FDA approval. Certifications for halal and organic are maintained through accredited bodies.
Shipping from Guangdong covers air and sea freight. Air freight to the US or EU typically takes 5–10 days; sea freight takes 18–35 days depending on port. We prepare export documents including commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, and health certificate where required. For Middle East markets, we provide halal certificates per shipment. Cartons are standard export grade with desiccant where humidity is a risk. We can ship to your 3PL or directly to Amazon FBA. Lead times for mass production remain 20–35 working days after sample approval, plus transit. Pilot runs can ship in 15–20 working days.
Joint Health Capsule Quality Control and Batch Documentation
Every joint health capsule batch follows a documented QC plan from raw material intake to finished goods release. Incoming actives such as glucosamine sulfate, chondroitin sulfate, MSM and turmeric extract are sampled per lot and tested for identity by FTIR or HPLC, assay potency against the supplier specification, microbial limits (total aerobic count, yeast and mould, E. coli, Salmonella), heavy metals (lead, arsenic, cadmium, mercury) and, where relevant, residual solvents. Capsule shells are checked for dimensional consistency and moisture content before filling.
In-process checks run at defined intervals during blending and encapsulation. Blend uniformity is verified by sampling from top, middle and bottom of the blender, with acceptance criteria typically 90.0–110.0% of label claim for each active. During filling, capsule weight is monitored every 15–30 minutes against a target fill weight with a defined tolerance, and locked capsule length is checked for seam integrity. Any deviation triggers a hold and investigation before the batch proceeds.
Finished capsules are tested for disintegration (typically within 30 minutes for hard-shell capsules in purified water at 37°C), final potency, microbials and heavy metals. A Certificate of Analysis (COA) is issued per batch and includes product name, batch number, manufacture and expiry dates, specification and test method references, measured results against limits, and a release statement signed by the QC manager. Retention samples of each batch are stored under labelled conditions for at least two years beyond shelf life.
Stability follows an ongoing protocol: accelerated conditions at 40°C/75% RH for six months and real-time conditions at 25°C/60% RH for the declared shelf life, typically 24 months. Batches are pulled at 0, 3, 6, 12, 18 and 24 months for potency, disintegration, microbials and appearance. If you need market-specific stability data for a registration dossier, we can align the protocol to your authority's requirements and provide the raw data package.
Joint Health Capsule Packaging, Labelling and Retail Readiness
Joint health capsules can be packed in HDPE bottles (typically 60, 90, 120 or 180 count) with induction seal and child-resistant or standard screw caps, in blister packs on PVC/PVDC or alu-alu for moisture-sensitive formulas, or in single-serve stick packs and sachets where a powder or granule format is preferred. Bottle diameters and heights are chosen to suit your label artwork, and we can supply desiccant canisters or silica gel sachets where the stability data supports them.
For US-bound products, labels must carry the FDA dietary supplement panel elements: statement of identity, net quantity of contents, Supplement Facts panel with serving size and percent daily value, ingredient list in descending order of predominance, and the mandatory disclaimer that the statement has not been evaluated by the FDA and the product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. We check your artwork against these elements before printing and will flag missing allergen or 'other ingredients' declarations.
Lot and expiry coding is applied by inkjet or laser on the bottle, carton and, where required, the capsule itself is not coded but the primary container is. We use your agreed date format (MM/YYYY or YYYY/MM) and can add a production code for traceability. Cartons are specified with dimensions, board grade and print process; palletisation follows your retailer's requirements, typically 1,200 x 1,000 mm or 1,200 x 800 mm pallets with a defined carton count per layer and maximum stack height.
For Amazon and other e-commerce channels, we can apply FNSKU labels, poly-bag or shrink-wrap units as required, and print carton shipping labels to your specification. Retail compliance support includes barcode verification (UPC/EAN), country-of-origin marking, and a check that your label claims are consistent with the formula and the COA. We do not provide legal review, but we do provide the documented inputs your regulatory consultant needs.
Joint Health Capsule MOQ, Lead Times and Delivery Terms
Sampling starts with a brief and formula confirmation. We source actives, prepare a pilot blend and fill sample capsules, with samples typically ready in 7–10 working days for standard formulas; custom blends or new capsule colours can add 3–5 working days. You receive the sample, draft COA and label proof for approval. Sample and courier costs are quoted separately and are not usually credited against the mass production order unless agreed in writing.
Mass production runs 20–35 working days after sample approval and receipt of the purchase order and deposit. This window covers raw material release, blending, encapsulation, packaging, QC testing and release. If your formula requires a new stability study before shipment, add the agreed stability time. We confirm the production slot in writing and provide a weekly status update from blending through to packing.
Shipping is arranged by air or sea depending on volume and urgency. Air freight suits pilot and launch quantities and typically moves in 5–10 days door to door; sea freight is cost-effective for full pallets and typically takes 25–40 days port to port depending on destination. We quote EXW, FOB and DDP terms; DDP is available for selected markets where we have a cleared forwarding partner, and the Incoterm and named place are stated on the quotation and invoice.
Documents provided with each shipment include the commercial invoice, packing list, batch COA, material safety data sheet (MSDS) where applicable, and a free-sale certificate. For plant-based ingredients we can arrange a phytosanitary certificate or certificate of origin where the destination requires it. Certificates of analysis are issued per batch, not per shipment, so split shipments from the same batch carry the same COA reference.

Questions buyers ask.
What is the MOQ for joint health capsules?+
Retail bottling MOQ is 1,000 units per SKU. Pilot runs start from 1,000 units, subject to formula and capsule size. If your formula uses expensive actives like undenatured type II collagen, we can quote smaller pilot batches. MOQ is confirmed after we review your specification.
Can you produce vegan or halal joint health capsules?+
Yes. We fill HPMC capsules for vegan, halal requirements. Gelatin capsules are also available. Halal certificates are issued per batch or per shipment. For organic claims, we source or EU-organic actives where available and maintain chain-of-custody documents.
What is the lead time for samples and mass production?+
Samples ship in 7–10 working days after we receive your specification and confirm raw material availability. Mass production runs 20–35 working days after sample approval. Air freight adds 5–10 days; sea freight adds 18–35 days depending on destination port.
Do you test for heavy metals and microbial contamination?+
Yes. Every incoming lot of glucosamine, chondroitin, turmeric or collagen is tested for identity, potency and heavy metals. Finished capsules are tested for microbial limits, heavy metals and, where relevant, solvent residues. Certificates of analysis are issued per batch. We retain samples for 24 months.
Can you match my existing formula and label?+
Yes. Send your current supplement facts panel and ingredient list. We review the formula for capsule size, fill weight and excipient compatibility. If adjustments are needed for flow or stability, we propose alternatives. We do not copy proprietary formulas without your authorisation. Every batch is made to your specification.
Can you supply joint health capsules with enteric or delayed-release properties?+
Yes. We can fill enteric-coated capsules or use enteric-coated granules where the active is acid-sensitive. Enteric capsules are typically HPMC-based with a coating applied to the shell, and we verify disintegration in simulated gastric fluid for two hours followed by simulated intestinal fluid. We will ask for your target release specification and confirm whether the chosen active and fill weight are compatible before quoting.
What is your policy on allergen and excipient declarations for joint health capsules?+
We declare all excipients used in the formula, including magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, gelatin or HPMC capsule shells, and any carrier in the extract. For allergens, we review the full ingredient list against the destination market's requirements, such as the EU 14 allergens or US major allergens, and flag any that apply. We do not make allergen-free claims unless the supplier documentation and our own review support them.
Do you offer stability testing for registration in specific markets?+
Yes. We run accelerated and real-time stability studies and can align the protocol to your market's requirements, including ICH climatic zones. You receive the raw data, time-point results and a summary report suitable for a regulatory dossier. If your authority requires testing at a specific laboratory, we can discuss whether an external lab is needed; our in-house data is generated under our GMP quality system.
