EUPHM runs two automated liquid filling lines with a combined capacity of 30,000 bottles per day. Each line handles 15 mL to 60 mL dropper bottles and supports nitrogen flushing to extend shelf life. We maintain a dedicated cleanroom for melatonin liquids to prevent cross-contamination with other actives. Changeover between SKUs takes under 4 hours, which keeps small-batch runs economical.

For pilot runs, we produce 1,000 to 2,000 units on a semi-automatic line. This lets you test market response before committing to full-scale production. Once you approve the pilot, we scale to 1,000 units or more on the automated lines. Typical mass production runs 20-35 working days, depending on bottle and carton lead times.

Melatonin in liquid form degrades when exposed to light, heat and oxygen. We formulate with a buffered pH between 4.5 and 5.5 and use amber glass or PET bottles with UV blockers. Our standard base is purified water, glycerin and natural flavours. We can add preservatives such as potassium sorbate or go preservative-free with a hot-fill process. Shelf life is typically 18 to 24 months when stored below 25°C.

We offer sugar-free, alcohol-free and vegan options. Sweeteners include stevia, monk fruit and erythritol. For organic lines, we source USDA-certified organic melatonin and organic glycerin. Flavour profiles range from peppermint and berry to unflavoured. Each formulation is validated with accelerated stability testing at 40°C and 75% relative humidity for 3 months.

Every batch of melatonin liquid is tested for potency, pH, microbial limits and heavy metals. We use HPLC to verify melatonin content within ±5% of label claim. Our in-house lab holds ISO 17025 accreditation for internal testing, and we send samples to third-party labs for verification. The facility is FDA-registered and GMP-certified, with ISO 22000 and HACCP food safety systems in place.

For US and EU markets, we provide Certificate of Analysis, MSDS, allergen statements and shelf-life documentation. Our regulatory team can assist with label reviews for FDA and EFSA compliance. For Middle East clients, we hold halal certification and can arrange certificates. We also support organic certification for USDA and EU organic claims.

Every melatonin liquid batch at EUPHM is tested against a written specification before release. Identity and potency are confirmed by HPLC, with the assay result expressed as mg melatonin per 1 mL and compared to label claim within a 90.0 to 110.0 percent tolerance. Microbial testing covers total aerobic count, yeast and mould, E. coli, Salmonella and Staphylococcus aureus. Heavy metals (lead, arsenic, cadmium, mercury) are screened against USP <232> limits. Because liquid products do not disintegrate, the disintegration test is replaced by appearance, pH, density and homogeneity checks on the finished fill.

Sampling follows a defined plan: raw melatonin is sampled on receipt, the bulk solution is sampled after compounding and before filling, and finished bottles are pulled at the start, middle and end of each filling run. Retention samples of every batch are held for 24 months at ambient conditions in the same bottle and closure as the commercial lot. A stability protocol covers 0, 3, 6, 12, 18 and 24 months at 25°C/60% RH and 30°C/65% RH, plus a 6-month accelerated arm at 40°C/75% RH. Results are trended and shared with the brand owner on request.

The certificate of analysis (COA) issued with each lot lists batch number, manufacture and expiry dates, fill volume, melatonin assay, microbial results, heavy metals, pH, density, appearance and the specification limits applied. Where a brand requires it, we add a customer-specific specification page and a signed statement of conformity. COAs are issued in PDF and can be linked to a QR code on the carton for retail and distributor traceability. Deviations are documented in a non-conformance report, and no batch is released without a signed quality release by the QA manager.

Melatonin liquid is filled into amber or opaque PET or glass bottles with dropper closures in 15 mL, 30 mL, 50 mL and 60 mL sizes. For brands moving into single-serve formats, we also fill stick packs and sachets on a separate line, with fill weights from 1.5 mL to 10 mL. Bottles can be supplied with tamper-evident bands, child-resistant droppers where the market requires them, and retail-ready cartons with a display-ready perforation. We do not fill blister packs for liquids, but we can pack a bottle plus dropper into a printed wallet where the retail format calls for it.

For the US market, we set artwork to include the FDA dietary-supplement label elements: statement of identity, net quantity, supplement facts panel with melatonin mg per serving and per container, other ingredients, directions, and the mandatory disclaimer. Lot number and best-by date are inkjet-coded on the bottle and outer carton, with a format agreed at artwork approval. For the EU and UK, we apply the nutrition declaration, allergen and storage statements, and the food supplement wording required by local rules. We check Amazon FNSKU placement, polybag suffocation warnings and carton weight limits before packing.

Cartons are specified at artwork stage: typical bottle cartons are 24 or 48 units, with dimensions and gross weight confirmed on a packing specification. Pallets are built to 1,200 x 1,000 mm or 1,200 x 800 mm depending on destination, stretch-wrapped and labelled with SSCC and batch details. We can print and apply FNSKU labels, overbox for Amazon FBA, and provide a packing list that matches the carton count. Retail compliance checks cover barcode scannability, country-of-origin marking and any market-specific warning symbols before the lot leaves the factory.

Sample development for a melatonin liquid starts with a brief covering concentration, fill volume, sweetener system, flavour and target market. We issue a quotation within two working days and produce a lab sample in 7 to 10 working days. If a custom flavour or a new dropper is required, allow 10 to 15 working days. Samples are sent by courier with a preliminary COA, and we do not start production tooling or artwork plates until the sample is signed off in writing.

Mass production runs 20 to 35 working days after sample approval and receipt of a deposit. The window covers raw material release, compounding, filling, labelling, QC testing and packing. Peak season (August to November) can add 5 to 7 working days, so we confirm the production slot at order acceptance. We offer EXW, FOB Shenzhen or Hong Kong, and DDP for US, EU and UK addresses where the buyer prefers a landed-cost arrangement. Air freight is used for pilot runs and urgent replenishment; sea freight is standard for full pallets.

Every shipment is accompanied by a commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of analysis, material safety data sheet (MSDS) and, where the destination requires it, a free-sale certificate and a certificate of origin. For markets that ask for it, we can arrange a phytosanitary certificate for plant-derived excipients and a halal certificate for the specific lot. Shipping documents are issued within three working days of vessel departure, and we share the draft documents for buyer review before the originals are released.
