Overview

Sourcing an omega-3 liquid manufacturer means matching triglyceride or ethyl ester base oils to a fill weight, taste profile and label claim that hold up in transit. This page covers what we bottle, how we formulate and what documentation ships with each order. If you also need other liquid formats, see our liquid manufacturing capabilities at /liquid-manufacturer.

Liquid filling capability and line capacity

Our liquid line runs amber glass, PET and HDPE bottles from 50 ml to 500 ml, with induction sealing and child-resistant or tamper-evident closures. Typical fill accuracy is ±1% by weight. We bottle omega-3 liquids at 1,500 to 1,000 units per shift, depending on fill weight and whether the product needs nitrogen flushing. That range suits launch volumes and repeat orders without forcing a full container load.

For pilot runs we accept 1,000 units per SKU, which lets you test a flavour or dosage before committing to 1,000-unit retail production. Changeover between fill weights takes 2-4 hours, so mixed-SKU orders are practical. We can also pack bulk liquid in 5 L, 10 L or 20 L drums for repackers and private-label fillers who finish in their own facility.

Formulation: base oils, flavours and dosage

Omega-3 liquids are usually built on fish body oil, cod liver oil, krill oil, algal oil or flaxseed oil, in triglyceride or ethyl ester form. We blend to a target EPA/DHA content, then add natural antioxidants such as mixed tocopherols or rosemary extract to slow oxidation. Flavour options include lemon, orange, mango, berry and unflavoured. A 5 ml dose typically delivers 500-1,200 mg of combined EPA and DHA, depending on concentration.

We can add vitamin D3, vitamin A, vitamin E or CoQ10 to the same liquid. For vegan and vegetarian SKUs, algal oil replaces fish oil and the label carries a vegan claim. Organic lines use certified organic flaxseed or algal oil with organic flavour systems. Tell us your target label claim and serving size; we will match the oil blend and confirm the overage needed to stay in spec through shelf life.

Quality control, compliance and export logistics

Every batch is tested for peroxide value, anisidine value, acid value, heavy metals and microbial load before release. We hold GMP, ISO 22000 and HACCP certification, and can arrange halal or EU organic documentation where the formula and supply chain support it. Our facility is FDA-registered for dietary supplements. Certificates of analysis, safety data sheets and allergen statements ship with each lot.

For export we prepare commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin and health certificates on request. Air freight from Guangdong reaches US and EU airports in 5-8 days; sea freight takes 18-30 days depending on port. We can palletise to 1,200 x 1,000 mm or 1,200 x 800 mm and apply your artwork, lot coding and expiry date. Cartons are sized to avoid wasted container space.

Quality Control and Batch Documentation

Every omega-3 liquid batch is tested at three points: incoming base oil, in-process fill, and finished goods. Incoming oil is checked for identity by fatty acid profile (GC-FID), peroxide value (PV ≤ 5 meq/kg), anisidine value (AV ≤ 20), and total oxidation (TOTOX ≤ 26). Microbials (TPC, yeast and mould, E. coli, Salmonella) are run on each lot. Heavy metals (lead, cadmium, arsenic, mercury) are tested to EU 1881/2006 and USP <232> limits. Potency is confirmed as EPA and DHA content in mg/g, matching the label claim within ±10%.

A Certificate of Analysis (COA) ships with every batch and lists the tests performed, specifications, results, and pass/fail status. Retention samples of each batch are held for 24 months at 25°C/60% RH. Stability follows ICH Q1A(R2): 0, 3, 6, 12, and 24 months for long-term, plus 40°C/75% RH accelerated at 0, 1, 3, and 6 months. Results cover PV, AV, TOTOX, EPA/DHA potency, and microbial counts. We do not release a batch until the COA is signed off by our QC manager.

For private-label orders, the COA can be issued in your brand name with your product code and batch number. We also provide a specification sheet, MSDS, and a free-sale certificate on request. If your market requires a specific test (for example, dioxins and PCBs for EU, or radiation for Japan), we can add it to the protocol at quotation stage. All testing is done in-house or at a third-party ISO 17025 laboratory, and the report is included in the batch file.

Packaging, Labelling and Retail Readiness

Omega-3 liquids are filled into amber glass or PET bottles from 50 ml to 500 ml, with 100 ml and 200 ml the most common. Closures include tamper-evident screw caps, droppers, and metered-dose pumps. For single-serve formats we offer 10 ml and 15 ml stick sachets and 5 ml to 10 ml blister packs. Bottles can be shrink-wrapped or boxed individually. Cartons are specified to your artwork, with lot number and expiry date inkjet-printed on the bottle, carton, and shipper. Pallet configuration is standard 1200 x 1000 mm or 1200 x 800 mm, with up to 1,200 bottles per pallet depending on size.

For the US market, we prepare FDA dietary-supplement labels with the required elements: statement of identity, net quantity, supplement facts panel, other ingredients, directions, and the mandatory disclaimer. We do not invent structure/function claims. For Amazon FNSKU compliance, we can apply the FNSKU barcode label over the existing barcode or print it directly on the carton. Retail-ready packaging includes case pack quantities, scannable GTIN, and a carton mark with lot and expiry. We can also provide a label proof for your regulatory review before printing.

Label text is checked against your market's rules: EU 1169/2011 for nutrition and allergen declarations, and TGA requirements for Australia. We keep a master label file for each SKU and re-check it at every reorder. If you supply print-ready artwork, we run a pre-press check for barcode grade, font size, and mandatory statements. Packaging materials are food-grade and comply with EU 10/2011 for plastics. We do not print claims such as 'cures' or 'prevents' unless you provide the substantiation and take regulatory responsibility.

MOQ, Lead Times and Delivery

The MOQ for omega-3 liquid manufacturing is 1,000 units per SKU, with 1,000 units accepted for pilot runs. Samples are produced in 7-10 working days after artwork and specification approval. Sample costs are credited against the first mass-production order. Mass production runs 20-35 working days after sample approval, depending on fill size, packaging complexity, and whether custom flavours or custom bottle moulds are required. We confirm the production window in writing at PO stage and update you at 50% and 100% completion.

Shipping options are air freight (5-10 days door-to-door) and sea freight (25-40 days port-to-port). For small pilot orders, air is usually more economical; for full pallets, sea freight reduces unit cost. We quote EXW, FOB Shenzhen or Hong Kong, and DDP for most destinations. DDP includes customs clearance and duties, but you remain the importer of record. We provide a commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading or airway bill, COA, MSDS, free-sale certificate, and, where relevant, phytosanitary certificate for botanical components. We do not provide a certificate of origin unless requested at quotation.

For repeat orders, we hold your approved artwork and specification on file, so reorders skip the sample stage unless you change the formula or packaging. Lead time for reorders is typically 15-25 working days. Payment terms are 30% deposit with balance against copy of shipping documents, or irrevocable L/C at sight for orders above USD 50,000. We recommend booking sea freight at least 14 days before the production completion date to avoid demurrage. All shipments are palletised and stretch-wrapped, with desiccant added for sea freight.

What is the MOQ for omega-3 liquid manufacturing?+

Standard MOQ is 1,000 units per SKU for retail bottling. Pilot runs start at 1,000 units per SKU, which lets you test flavour, fill weight and packaging before scaling. Bulk drum orders have separate minimums; ask for a quote based on your target volume.

How long do samples and mass production take?+

Samples ship in 7-10 working days after we confirm the formula and packaging. Mass production runs 20-35 working days after sample approval, depending on fill weight, flavour and whether the order needs custom cartons or imported components.

Which certifications can you provide?+

The facility holds GMP, ISO 22000 and HACCP certification. Halal, EU vegan documentation can be arranged when the formula and ingredient supply chain meet the relevant standard. Certificates of analysis and safety data sheets ship with each lot.

Can you produce vegan or organic omega-3 liquids?+

Yes. Algal oil replaces fish oil for vegan and vegetarian SKUs. Organic lines use certified organic flaxseed or algal oil with organic flavour systems. We confirm organic status against your destination market before production, since US and EU organic rules differ on some processing aids.

What are your payment and shipping terms?+

Typical terms are 30% deposit with the balance before shipment, negotiable for repeat orders. We ship air freight in 5-8 days to US and EU airports, or sea freight in 18-30 days. Export documents include commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin and health certificate on request.

Can you supply omega-3 liquid in bulk drums for local filling?+

Yes. We supply bulk omega-3 oil in 25 kg, 50 kg, and 190 kg drums, or in 1,000 kg IBC totes. Bulk oil is nitrogen-flushed and sealed under food-grade liner. Each drum carries a batch number and COA. MOQ for bulk is 25 kg. We can also supply unflavoured concentrate for local flavouring and filling, with a specification sheet and MSDS for your filling operation.

What is the shelf life of your omega-3 liquids, and how is it validated?+

Shelf life is 24 months from the date of manufacture when stored below 25°C and away from direct light. We validate this through ICH Q1A(R2) long-term and accelerated stability studies, measuring peroxide value, anisidine value, TOTOX, and EPA/DHA potency at 0, 3, 6, 12, and 24 months. We do not assign a shelf life beyond the tested period. For flavours or natural antioxidants, we run a separate stability study.

Do you provide labels and packaging, or do I need to supply my own?+

You can supply print-ready artwork, or we can design the label to your brief using our in-house design team. We source bottles, caps, and cartons from qualified suppliers and can use your nominated packaging if it meets our filling line specifications. We provide a label proof and packaging specification for your approval before production. Packaging costs are quoted separately from the fill cost.
