Sea Moss Liquid Manufacturer for Private Label Brands

Sea Moss Liquid Manufacturer for Private Label Brands

EUPHM produces sea moss liquid supplements in Guangdong, China. We handle extraction, blending, bottling and packing. MOQ starts at 1,000 units per SKU. Sample lead time is 7-10 working days.

Overview

Sea moss liquid is a fast-growing category in the US, EU and Middle East. Brands need a manufacturer that can handle raw material variability, maintain viscosity and deliver consistent fill weights. EUPHM runs dedicated liquid lines for sea moss extracts, syrups and shots. Our facility is GMP, ISO 22000 and HACCP certified. We also hold halal certification where required. This page covers our capabilities, formulation options and quality controls.

Liquid Manufacturing Capability

Our Guangdong plant runs two dedicated liquid lines. One handles hot-fill glass and PET bottles from 30 ml to 1,000 ml. The other handles cold-fill and aseptic filling for heat-sensitive actives. We produce sea moss gels, syrups, shots and ready-to-drink blends. Typical batch sizes range from 500 kg to 5,000 kg. We can fill 50,000 bottles per day on a single shift. Changeover between SKUs takes 4-6 hours, including full CIP cleaning.

For sea moss liquid, viscosity control is critical. We use inline viscometers and hold tanks with agitation to keep the extract uniform. Fill accuracy is ±1.5% on net weight. We run nitrogen flushing for oxygen-sensitive formulas. Bottles can be hot-filled at 85-92°C or cold-filled with preservatives. We also offer retort processing for shelf-stable products. Every batch is traceable from raw material lot to finished bottle.

Sea Moss Formulation and Ingredient Sourcing

Sea moss (Chondrus crispus or Gracilaria) is sourced from approved suppliers in Chile, Indonesia and Ireland. We test each lot for heavy metals, microbiology and iodine content. The raw material is washed, then extracted in water at 80-95°C. We can produce a full-spectrum extract or a filtered clear extract. Typical inclusion rates are 100 mg to 1,000 mg per 30 ml serving. We can also blend sea moss with bladderwrack, burdock root, elderberry or turmeric.

Flavour systems are important for compliance and repeat purchase. We offer natural flavours, stevia, monk fruit and erythritol. For EU markets, we can avoid added sugar and meet organic labelling rules. For Middle East markets, we can produce halal-certified formulas with no alcohol carriers. Preservative options include potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate and natural alternatives like grapefruit seed extract. pH is adjusted to 3.8-4.2 for microbial stability.

Quality Control and Compliance

Our facility is FDA-registered and GMP-certified. We hold ISO 22000 and HACCP certifications. For sea moss liquid, we test every batch for total plate count, yeast and mould, E. coli, Salmonella and heavy metals (lead, cadmium, arsenic, mercury). We also test iodine levels, as sea moss can vary widely. Certificates of analysis are issued within 3 working days of production. We support third-party testing at Eurofins or SGS if you require it.

Label compliance is a common bottleneck. We review your artwork for US FDA, EU 1169/2011 and GCC standards. We check nutrition panels, allergen statements and health claims. For organic claims, we can arrange USDA organic or EU organic certifications. For halal and we work with recognised certifiers. Documentation includes free sale certificates, certificates of origin and MSDS. We can also handle customs paperwork for US, EU and Middle East shipments.

Packaging, Labelling and Retail Readiness

Sea moss liquid is filled into bottles, sticks, sachets, or blisters depending on the target market. Standard bottle options include 500 ml, 16 oz, and 32 oz in PET or glass, with induction seals and tamper-evident caps. Sticks are available in 10 ml to 30 ml formats for single-serve shots, and sachets range from 15 ml to 50 ml. Blisters are used for small-volume liquid capsules or gel formats. Filling lines handle viscosities up to 500 cP and support hot fill, cold fill, and aseptic filling where required. Fill weights are verified on-line, and packaging materials are inspected for dimensional consistency before each run.

For the US market, labels must include the statement of identity, net quantity of contents, nutrition or supplement facts panel, ingredient list, allergen declaration, and the name and place of business of the manufacturer, packer, or distributor. The FDA dietary supplement labelling requirements also require the phrase 'Dietary Supplement' and a supplement facts panel with serving size and percent daily value where applicable. For the EU, labels must comply with Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011, including nutrition declaration, allergens, and minimum font sizes. We provide label artwork review against these requirements and can supply bilingual or multilingual labels for the Middle East and Asia.

Lot and expiry coding are applied by inkjet or laser on the bottle, cap, and carton. The lot code format is agreed with the customer and typically includes the production date in YYMMDD format plus a line identifier. Expiry date is calculated from the stability data and printed as Best Before or Expiry Date depending on market convention. Cartons are specified with corrugated board grade, dimensions, and pallet configuration. Standard pallets are 1200 x 1000 mm or 1200 x 800 mm, with a maximum height of 1.8 m including the pallet, and stretch-wrapped with corner boards. Pallet labels include lot number, quantity, and gross weight.

For Amazon and retail compliance, we can apply FNSKU labels, poly-bag the bottles where required, and print carton markings to the retailer's specification. We do not manage Amazon seller accounts, but we provide the packaging and labelling data needed for FNSKU creation and shipment planning. Retail-ready packaging such as shelf-ready trays and display cartons can be sourced on request. All packaging materials are food-grade and comply with EU 10/2011 and FDA 21 CFR 174-190 for food contact. Customers receive a packaging specification sheet with material codes, dimensions, and artwork files before production.

MOQ, Lead Times and Delivery

Sampling starts with a formulation brief and target specification. We provide a quotation within two working days and, once the brief is agreed, produce a sample in 7 to 10 working days. Sample costs are quoted separately and are credited against the first mass production order. The sample includes a draft COA and a label mock-up for review. If the sample requires adjustment, one round of revision is included at no extra cost; further revisions are quoted. Sample dispatch is by courier, with tracking, and the customer is responsible for import duties on samples.

Mass production begins after sample approval and receipt of the purchase order and deposit. The production window is 20 to 35 working days for sea moss liquid, depending on packaging availability and line scheduling. Larger orders above 50,000 units are scheduled across multiple runs to maintain consistent quality. We provide a production schedule with milestone dates for filling, labelling, and packing. Any delay in artwork approval or packaging delivery will shift the schedule; we flag these risks at order confirmation. Quality checks at each milestone are recorded and shared with the customer on request.

Shipping options include air freight for urgent or small orders and sea freight for full container loads. Air freight typically takes 5 to 10 days door to door, while sea freight takes 25 to 40 days depending on the destination port. We quote EXW, FOB, and DDP terms. FOB is from Shenzhen or Hong Kong; DDP is available for the US, EU, UK, and selected Middle East markets. For DDP, we handle customs clearance and duties, and the customer receives a delivered price. We recommend sea freight for orders above 5,000 units to reduce per-unit logistics cost.

Documentation provided with each shipment includes the commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading or airway bill, COA, MSDS, and a free-sale certificate. For organic products, the organic certificate and transaction certificate are included. Phytosanitary certificates are not normally required for processed liquid supplements, but we can arrange them if the destination country requests. Certificates of origin can be issued for preferential tariff treatment where applicable. We share scanned copies before dispatch so the customer can review and clear customs without delays.
