Sleep Support Liquid Manufacturer for Scalable Brands

Sleep Support Liquid Manufacturer for Scalable Brands

EUPHM produces sleep support liquids—melatonin, magnesium, L-theanine, glycine—in 30–500 mL bottles. MOQ 1,000 units per SKU. Sample lead time 7–10 working days. Mass production 20–35 working days.

Overview

Most sleep brands start with capsules, then move to liquids for faster onset and easier dosing. Liquids need a manufacturer who can handle solubility, preservation, and taste masking without losing active integrity. EUPHM runs dedicated liquid lines for sleep support formulas, from pilot batches to 50,000-unit runs. We handle flavour systems, pH control, and stability testing so your product reaches shelf with a 24-month shelf life.

Liquid Filling and Packaging Capability

EUPHM operates four liquid filling lines: two for bottles up to 100 mL, one for 250–500 mL, and one for unit-dose vials. Each line runs at 80–120 bottles per minute, depending on fill volume and viscosity. We fill under nitrogen for oxidation-sensitive actives like melatonin and GABA. Bottles are amber PET or glass, with induction seals and child-resistant caps. Label application handles up to 4 panels, including booklet labels.

For pilot runs, we use a semi-automatic line that accepts 500-unit batches. That lets you test three or four flavour variants before committing to 1,000-unit MOQs. Scale-up is linear: same formula, same process, same equipment train. Changeover between SKUs takes 2–4 hours, so mixed orders are possible. We ship FOB Shenzhen or Yantian, with DDP terms available for US and EU buyers.

Formulating Sleep Actives in Liquid Form

Melatonin is poorly water-soluble. In liquids, it needs a solubiliser—typically glycerin, propylene glycol, or a cyclodextrin complex. EUPHM uses food-grade glycerin and natural flavours to mask bitterness. Magnesium glycinate and L-theanine dissolve cleanly at 200–500 mg per 15 mL dose. Glycine and GABA need pH adjustment to 4.0–4.5 for stability. We run accelerated stability tests at 40°C/75% RH for 3 months to predict 24-month shelf life.

Preservation matters. Liquid sleep products with water activity above 0.6 require a preservative system. We use potassium sorbate and sodium benzoate at 0.1–0.2%, or a natural alternative like caprylyl glycol for clean-label claims. If you want a sugar-free syrup, we use erythritol and stevia. For vegan claims, we avoid gelatin and carmine. Every formula is tested for active content at day 0, 30, 60, and 90.

Quality Control and Compliance

Sleep support liquids often contain melatonin, which is regulated differently by market. In the EU, melatonin above 2 mg per dose requires a novel food application. In the US, it is a dietary supplement ingredient. EUPHM holds GMP, ISO 22000, and HACCP certifications. Our facility is FDA-registered for dietary supplements. We provide certificates of analysis for each batch, including assay, microbials, heavy metals, and pH.

For halal buyers, we source gelatine-free capsules and alcohol-free flavours. Organic claims require USDA organic or EU organic certification on every ingredient. We maintain traceability from raw material lot to finished bottle. Documentation includes MSDS, specification sheets, and stability reports. Third-party testing is available at buyer cost. We do not claim FDA approval—only FDA registration.

Packaging, Labelling and Retail Readiness

Sleep liquids are typically filled into amber PET or glass bottles with dropper or pump closures, in sizes from 30 mL to 500 mL. We also run stick packs (10 mL to 30 mL) and single-serve sachets for travel or sample formats. Bottle and closure compatibility is verified by a fill-line trial before mass production, including leak testing and drop testing to ISTA 1A where required. Labels can be supplied as roll-fed or sheet-fed, and we apply lot number and expiry date by inkjet or laser coding at the filling line, with a verification scan to reject mis-coded units.

For US-bound products, we format the label to include all FDA dietary supplement label elements: statement of identity, net quantity of contents, supplement facts panel with serving size and active quantities, other ingredients list, and allergen declarations where applicable. We do not write your claims, but we review label copy against the formula and flag ingredients that require specific declarations. For EU-bound products, we check that the label carries the required nutrition declaration, botanical names, and allergen information. Lot and expiry coding follows your agreed format, and we keep a coding record per batch.

Cartons are specified to your retail channel: standard single-wall corrugated with a printed or plain white finish, inner dividers for glass bottles, and polybagging where retailers require it. We provide carton dimensions, gross weight, and pallet configuration (typically 1,200 x 1,000 mm or 1,200 x 800 mm, stacked to a maximum height of 1.8 m) before production. For Amazon sellers, we apply FNSKU labels and polybag with a suffocation warning where the unit is not in a sealed carton. We can also print and apply retail-ready shelf labels if your distributor requires them.

MOQ, Lead Times and Delivery

Sample development for a new sleep liquid formula takes 7 to 10 working days from receipt of your target actives and flavour brief. This includes a lab-scale batch, pH and taste adjustment, and a stability pre-check. If you supply a reference product, we match the sensory profile in up to three iterations within that window. Courier costs for samples are at your account unless agreed otherwise. Once you approve the sample and place a purchase order, we book a production slot; pilot runs of 500 units are available for market testing before you commit to a full 1,000-unit SKU run.

Mass production takes 20 to 35 working days after sample approval and receipt of all packaging components. This covers raw material release, compounding, filling, coding, cartoning, and finished-goods testing. If your label or carton artwork changes after the production slot is booked, add 5 to 7 working days for re-approval and re-printing. We send a pre-production sample from the first filled bottles for your sign-off before the line runs the full batch. Delays in artwork approval are the most common cause of schedule slippage, so we recommend locking label copy before the PO is issued.

We ship under EXW, FOB Shenzhen or Hong Kong, and DDP for most destination countries. Air freight takes 5 to 8 days door to door and suits pilot runs and urgent replenishment; sea freight takes 25 to 40 days depending on port and is cost-effective above roughly 500 kg. For each shipment we provide a commercial invoice, packing list, Certificate of Analysis, Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for the finished liquid, and a free-sale certificate. Where your destination customs requires it, we arrange a phytosanitary certificate for botanical ingredients and a halal certificate if the formula holds one.

Questions buyers ask.

What is the MOQ for sleep support liquids?+

MOQ is 1,000 units per SKU for retail bottling. For pilot runs, we accept 500 units. This applies to 30 mL, 60 mL, and 100 mL fills. Larger volumes like 250 mL may require 2,000 units minimum.

Can you produce melatonin liquids without alcohol?+

Yes. We use glycerin, propylene glycol, or cyclodextrin as carriers. Alcohol-free formulas are standard for halal and clean-label markets. We also offer sugar-free syrups with erythritol and stevia.

How long does sample development take?+

Sample lead time is 7–10 working days after we receive your brief and target actives. This includes formulation, small-batch production, and shipping. You receive 2–5 bottles with a certificate of analysis.

What certifications does EUPHM hold?+

We hold GMP, ISO 22000, and HACCP. halal and vegan certifications are available on request. Our facility is FDA-registered for dietary supplements. We do not claim FDA approval.

What is the shelf life of liquid sleep supplements?+

Typically 18–24 months when stored below 25°C and away from direct sunlight. We test accelerated stability at 40°C/75% RH for 3 months to confirm. Preservative systems and nitrogen flushing extend shelf life.

Can you match the taste and mouthfeel of an existing sleep liquid I already sell?+

Yes. Send us a retail sample and your target active levels. We reverse-engineer the flavour system, sweetness, and viscosity in the lab, then produce up to three iterations within the 7 to 10 working day sample window. We match sensory profile, not the exact formula, so your actives and claims remain your own. A side-by-side taste panel is included in the sample report.

Do you offer low-sugar or sugar-free liquid sleep formulas?+

Yes. We formulate with erythritol, stevia, monk fruit, or sucralose, and adjust the preservative system accordingly because sugar alcohols and high-intensity sweeteners change water activity and microbial risk. We run a challenge test on the preserved system before release. Sugar-free versions typically need a slightly higher preservative level or a pH below 4.2, which we confirm during sample development.

What is your policy on stability testing if I change the bottle or closure after the first batch?+

A packaging change triggers a packaging compatibility study rather than a full re-run of the 24-month stability protocol. We run a three-month accelerated test at 40°C/75% RH on the new container, plus a leak and drop test. If the new closure changes headspace or oxygen ingress, we extend to six months accelerated. The study adds 4 to 6 weeks to your timeline and is quoted separately.
