Sugar-Free Drop Manufacturer for Custom Supplement Brands
EUPHM produces sugar-free drops in a GMP-certified facility in Guangdong, China. We handle formulation, filling, sealing and packaging for brands that need consistent sweetness without sugar, dextrose or maltodextrin.
Overview
Sugar-free drops are a fast-growing format for vitamins, minerals, sleep aids, energy and immunity products. The challenge is keeping the drop stable, pleasant-tasting and free from sugar alcohols that cause digestive discomfort. EUPHM runs dedicated sugar-free lines with stevia, monk fruit and allulose options. MOQ starts at 1,000 units per SKU. Sample lead time is 7-10 working days.

Sugar-Free Drop Manufacturing Capability
EUPHM operates two dedicated sugar-free drop lines with a combined capacity of 1.2 million drops per day. Each line runs a depositing system that handles viscosities from 800 to 3,500 cP, which covers stevia, monk fruit, allulose and erythritol blends. We fill into 30 mL, 50 mL and 100 mL bottles, or into blister packs and stick packs. Changeover between SKUs takes under 4 hours, so you can run multiple flavours or dosages in one production window.
The plant is FDA-registered and holds GMP, ISO 22000 and HACCP certifications. We run metal detection and weight checks every 30 minutes. For sugar-free drops, we test water activity, hardness and dissolution rate at three points: after mixing, after depositing and after 14 days of stability. That data goes into your batch record. If you need halal or vegan certification, we schedule the run on a dedicated line and provide the supporting documents.
Formulation Options Without Sugar or Sugar Alcohols
Sugar-free drops often rely on maltitol or sorbitol, which can cause bloating at higher doses. We formulate with stevia (Reb A, Reb M), monk fruit (mogroside V) and allulose. Allulose is a rare sugar with about 70% of sucrose sweetness and no glycaemic impact. For a 1.5 g drop, we typically use 0.3-0.6 g of allulose or 0.05-0.15 g of stevia extract. We also use soluble fibre such as inulin or acacia gum to add body without sugar.
Active ingredients can include vitamins B6, B12, C, D3, zinc, magnesium, melatonin, L-theanine, caffeine and electrolytes. We adjust pH to 3.8-4.2 for shelf stability and use natural flavours and colours. If your formula needs a cooling effect, we can add a small amount of erythritol, but we keep it under 2% to avoid digestive issues. Every formula is tested for taste, texture and stability before you approve the sample.
Quality Control and Logistics for Sugar-Free Drops
Sugar-free drops are hygroscopic, so moisture control is critical. We keep the production room below 30% relative humidity and use sealed hoppers. After filling, each bottle gets an induction seal and a child-resistant cap if needed. We test for water activity below 0.6, which limits microbial growth. Batch records include raw material COAs, in-process checks and finished product testing for potency, heavy metals and microbiological safety.
We ship from Shenzhen and Hong Kong ports. Air freight to the US takes 5-8 days, to the EU 4-7 days, to the UK 5-8 days, and to the Middle East 3-6 days. Sea freight to the US West Coast takes 18-25 days. We handle export documents, including certificate of origin, health certificate and halal certificates. MOQ is 1,000 units per SKU, and we can consolidate multiple SKUs in one shipment to reduce freight costs.
Batch Testing, COAs and Retention Samples
Every sugar-free drop batch is tested against a written specification before release. Incoming raw materials are sampled at 100% of containers for identity by FTIR or HPLC, and each active is assayed for potency. Sweeteners including stevia, monk fruit and allulose are checked for purity and residual solvents where applicable. During production, in-process checks cover drop weight at 15-minute intervals with a tolerance of ±3%, hardness and disintegration time. Microbiological testing for total aerobic count, yeast and mould, E. coli and Salmonella is performed on every batch, with heavy metals (lead, arsenic, cadmium, mercury) tested quarterly or per raw material lot change.
The certificate of analysis (COA) issued with each batch lists batch number, production date, expiry date, active ingredient assay results, microbial results, heavy metals, disintegration time, moisture content and appearance. It also references the specification version and the analytical methods used. Retention samples of every batch are kept for the full shelf life plus six months at controlled room temperature. Stability testing follows an accelerated protocol at 40°C/75% RH for six months and real-time testing at 25°C/60% RH for up to 24 months, with checks at 0, 3, 6, 12, 18 and 24 months for potency, moisture, colour and disintegration.
Deviations are documented in a batch record that is reviewed by QA before release. Any out-of-specification result triggers a root-cause investigation and a hold on the affected lot. Environmental monitoring of the sugar-free drop lines includes air settle plates and surface swabs monthly. Water used in formulation is tested for conductivity and microbial count daily. These records are available for client audit and are retained for five years.
Packaging, Labelling and Retail Readiness
Sugar-free drops can be packed in HDPE bottles with induction seals and child-resistant or standard caps, in blister packs, in single-serve stick packs or in sachets. Bottle sizes range from 30 mL to 250 mL, with drop counts from 100 to 1,000 per bottle. Blister packs use PVC/PVDC or alu-alu for moisture protection, with 10 to 30 drops per blister. Stick packs and sachets are filled on vertical form-fill-seal lines at speeds up to 60 packs per minute. We provide stock bottle and cap options or work with client-supplied components after compatibility testing.
For the US market, labels are prepared to include the FDA dietary supplement label elements: statement of identity, net quantity of contents, supplement facts panel with serving size and percent daily value, ingredient list, directions for use, and the mandatory disclaimer. Lot number and expiry date are inkjet-coded on the bottle base or neck, and on each stick or sachet. We also apply Amazon FNSKU labels and poly-bag units for FBA shipments on request. For EU and UK retail, labels include the nutrition declaration, allergen statement where relevant, and the food business operator address.
Cartons are specified to client requirements: standard corrugated shippers with a minimum burst strength of 200 lb, or display-ready cartons for retail. Each carton is labelled with product name, lot number, quantity, gross and net weight, and dimensions. Pallets are typically 1,200 x 1,000 mm or 1,200 x 800 mm, stretch-wrapped and corner-protected, with a maximum height of 1,800 mm including pallet. We provide a packing list and pallet manifest for each shipment.
MOQ, Lead Times and Delivery
Sampling for sugar-free drops takes 7-10 working days from receipt of a complete formula brief and target specification. This includes formulation review, lab-scale batches, sensory evaluation and stability initiation. Client-supplied active ingredients may add 3-5 working days for incoming testing. Sample approval is required before mass production. The production window is 20-35 working days after sample approval and receipt of all packaging components, depending on drop count, packaging format and whether the order is a pilot run or a full-scale batch.
Shipping options are air freight for pilot and time-sensitive orders, typically 5-10 days door-to-door, and sea freight for full containers, typically 25-35 days port-to-port. We quote EXW, FOB Shenzhen or Hong Kong, and DDP for selected destinations. DDP is available for the US, EU, UK and Middle East, with duties and taxes handled by our freight partner. Air shipments are normally palletised and shrink-wrapped; sea shipments use FCL or LCL depending on volume.
Documents provided with each shipment include the commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of analysis for each batch, material safety data sheet (MSDS) where applicable, and a free-sale certificate. For destinations requiring phytosanitary certification, we arrange this where the product composition allows. Halal certificates are provided for certified batches. Certificates of origin are issued on request. We do not provide guarantees of import clearance; clients should confirm local regulatory requirements before ordering.
