Baby Drop Manufacturer for Private Label Brands

Baby Drop Manufacturer for Private Label Brands

EUPHM produces liquid baby drops in a GMP-certified facility in Guangdong. MOQ starts at 1,000 units per SKU. Pilot runs are lower. Samples ship in 7-10 working days.

Overview

Baby drops are a low-volume, high-trust product. Parents check every label. Retailers check every certificate. A baby drop manufacturer needs to handle both. EUPHM runs dedicated liquid filling lines for 15 ml, 30 ml and 50 ml dropper bottles. We work with vitamin D3, iron, multivitamin, probiotic and herbal tincture formulas. This page covers the formats, the fill process, the testing and the paperwork you will need to list in the US, EU, UK and Middle East.

Liquid Filling Built for Small Doses

Baby drops are filled in small volumes. A 30 ml bottle with a 0.5 ml dose holds 60 servings. That means the fill weight must be accurate to within a few milligrams. Our peristaltic and piston fillers hold +/- 1% on 15-50 ml fills. Each line runs an inline checkweigher. Rejected bottles are removed before capping.

Dropper assemblies are the second risk. A glass pipette that delivers 0.4 ml instead of 0.5 ml changes the dose on the label. We source calibrated droppers from two approved suppliers and test 30 units per batch for drop volume. If the mean falls outside 0.45-0.55 ml, the batch is held. This is the kind of detail that keeps a product on shelf.

Formulation and Ingredient Sourcing

Most baby drop formulas are oil-based or water-based. Oil-based carriers include MCT oil, sunflower oil and olive oil. Water-based formulas need a preservative system. For infant products, we avoid sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate where possible. We use natural alternatives such as rosemary extract or a mild organic acid blend. Every excipient is checked against EU and US infant additive rules.

Actives are sourced from approved suppliers with full traceability. Vitamin D3 comes as cholecalciferol in oil. Iron is usually ferrous bisglycinate for tolerance. Probiotics are blended at the filling stage to limit moisture exposure. If you want organic, we can source and EU organic actives. Lead times for organic actives are 5-10 days longer. We will flag that before you commit.

Testing, Compliance and Export Paperwork

Every batch is tested for identity, potency, microbial limits and heavy metals. We use third-party labs for heavy metals and microbiological testing. Certificates of analysis are issued per batch. For the EU, we provide a product information file and safety assessment support. For the US, we provide a facility registration number and a letter of guarantee. For the Middle East, we arrange halal certification through a recognised body.

Export paperwork is handled in-house. We prepare commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin and health certificates. For the UK and EU, we can ship DDP or DAP. For the US, we ship FOB Shenzhen or Yantian. Typical air freight for 1,000 bottles is 5-7 days to Los Angeles or Rotterdam. Sea freight is 18-25 days. We will quote both.

Quality Control and Batch Documentation

Every baby drop batch is tested at three points: incoming raw materials, in-process fill checks, and finished product release. Identity and potency testing uses HPLC or titration depending on the actives, with vitamin D3 typically assayed to 95-105% of label claim. Microbial testing covers total aerobic count, yeast and mould, E. coli and Salmonella, with results available within 5-7 working days. Heavy metals testing by ICP-MS screens lead, arsenic, cadmium and mercury against EU and US limits. Disintegration testing applies to any tablet or capsule components in combination packs, not to liquid drops.

A certificate of analysis (COA) is issued per batch and includes the product name, batch number, manufacturing date, expiry date, tests performed, specification limits, results and the analyst's signature. Retained samples from each batch are kept for the full shelf life plus six months, stored under the same conditions as the commercial stock. Stability protocols follow ICH Q1A(R2) guidelines, with accelerated testing at 40°C/75% RH for six months and real-time testing at 25°C/60% RH for up to 24 months. These data support the shelf life printed on the label.

In-process controls on the liquid lines include fill weight checks every 30 minutes, with a tolerance of ±2% for 15 ml bottles and ±1.5% for 30 ml and 50 ml formats. Dropper tip fit and torque are checked hourly to prevent leakage in transit. Line clearance records and cleaning verification logs are kept for each batch, and environmental monitoring of the filling room is conducted monthly. These records are available for review during customer audits or third-party inspections, such as those required for or halal certification.

Batch documentation is compiled into a batch record that includes raw material COAs, in-process checks, finished product COA, packaging records and deviation reports. This record is retained for at least five years, exceeding the typical three-year requirement in many markets. If a customer requires a specific format for their quality team, we can provide the batch record in English or bilingual format. Testing is carried out in our ISO 17025-accredited partner laboratories, and we can arrange third-party verification at the customer's request.

Packaging and Labelling for Retail-Ready Baby Drop Manufacturing

For baby drops, the primary pack is typically a 15 ml, 30 ml or 50 ml amber glass or PET dropper bottle. We also offer 10 ml amber glass on request. Closures include child-resistant dropper caps with tamper-evident rings, and we can supply graduated droppers for accurate dosing. Secondary packaging options include single-unit cartons with a leaflet, or blister packs for unit-dose formats. For stick packs or sachets, we can fill 1 ml to 5 ml volumes, though these are less common for oil-based drops due to fill accuracy constraints.

Labels are printed to your artwork and must include the FDA-required dietary supplement label elements for the US market: statement of identity, net quantity of contents, supplement facts panel, ingredient list, allergen declaration if applicable, and the name and place of business of the manufacturer or distributor. For the EU, the label must comply with Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 and the food supplement directive 2002/46/EC, including the nutrition declaration and recommended daily portion. We can review your artwork for mandatory elements but do not provide regulatory sign-off.

Lot and expiry coding is applied by inkjet or laser onto the bottle or carton, with a typical format of YYMMDD for lot and MM/YYYY for expiry. We can also apply a best-before date with a specific format if required. Cartons are standard 5-ply corrugated with a maximum weight of 15 kg per carton for manual handling. Pallets are 1200 x 1000 mm or 1200 x 800 mm, stretch-wrapped and corner-protected, with a maximum height of 1.8 m including the pallet. For Amazon FNSKU labelling, we can apply the FNSKU barcode label over the existing barcode or as a separate label, provided you supply the label files.

Retail compliance for major retailers often requires additional barcodes, such as GTIN-13 or GTIN-14, and compliance with specific carton marking requirements. We can print these on the carton or apply labels. For club stores, we can pack in display-ready cases. We do not provide retail compliance consulting, but we can work with your packaging engineer to meet specifications. All packaging materials are food-grade and meet EU 10/2011 and FDA 21 CFR 175-178 requirements for food contact.

MOQ, Lead Times and Delivery

The MOQ for baby drops is 1,000 units per SKU, with lower quantities possible for pilot runs subject to a minimum batch size of 1,000 units. Sample lead time is 7-10 working days after formula and packaging confirmation, and samples are provided free of charge, though you cover the courier cost. Mass production takes 20-35 working days after artwork approval and receipt of deposit. This window includes raw material procurement, filling, testing and packaging. Delays can occur if artwork is not print-ready or if raw materials require import clearance.

For delivery, we offer EXW, FOB and DDP terms. EXW is from our factory in Guangdong, China. FOB is from Shenzhen or Hong Kong port, with loading and export clearance handled by us. DDP is available for most major markets, with the freight and import duties included in the quoted price. Air freight typically takes 5-8 days door-to-door, while sea freight takes 25-35 days depending on the destination port. For urgent orders, we can arrange air express within 3-5 working days at a premium.

Shipping documents provided include the commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading or airway bill, certificate of analysis, material safety data sheet (MSDS) if applicable, and a free-sale certificate. For products containing herbal ingredients, a phytosanitary certificate may be required by certain countries, and we can arrange this. We also provide a certificate of origin if needed for preferential tariff treatment. All documents are issued in English, and we can assist with legalisation or consular authentication if required by your customs broker.

For repeat orders, we keep a record of your approved artwork and formula, which reduces lead time to 15-25 working days. We recommend planning orders at least 8-10 weeks ahead of your retail launch to allow for sampling, artwork approval, production and shipping. Our production planning team provides weekly status updates once an order is confirmed, and we can accommodate split shipments if you need to phase inventory into different markets.

Questions buyers ask.

What is the MOQ for baby drops?+

MOQ is 1,000 units per SKU for retail bottling. For pilot runs, we can go as low as 1,000 units on herbal tinctures. Multivitamin and probiotic drops stay at 5,000 units because of ingredient minimums. We will confirm exact MOQ when you share your formula.

Can you match my existing formula?+

Yes. Send the ingredient list and we will match it. If the formula uses a preservative we cannot source, we will propose a natural alternative. We do not copy proprietary blends without a signed letter of authorisation from the brand owner. Turnaround for a match sample is 7-10 working days.

Which certifications do you hold?+

The facility is GMP-certified and holds ISO 22000 and HACCP. We arrange halal certification per batch through recognised bodies. and EU organic certification is available if your actives are certified organic. Vegan certification is available on request. Certificates are issued in the brand owner's name where required.

How long does shipping take?+

Air freight to Los Angeles or Rotterdam is 5-7 days. Sea freight is 18-25 days. We ship FOB Shenzhen or Yantian for US orders. For UK and EU orders, we can ship DDP or DAP. We quote both options with your order confirmation. Export documents are sent within 3 days of dispatch.

Do you provide stability testing?+

Yes. We run accelerated stability at 40°C/75% RH for 3 months and real-time stability for 12 months. For baby drops, we also test dropper performance after 3 months of storage. Stability data is shared with you before commercial production. If you need a longer shelf life claim, we can run a 24-month real-time study.

What is the shelf life of baby drops and how is it determined?+

Shelf life is typically 24 months from the date of manufacture, based on real-time stability testing at 25°C/60% RH. Accelerated testing at 40°C/75% RH for six months supports the initial claim. We provide stability data in the product dossier. If you require a longer shelf life, we can discuss formulation adjustments or packaging changes, but any extension must be supported by additional testing.

Can you provide a certificate of free sale for my market?+

Yes, we can issue a certificate of free sale for most markets. This document confirms that the product is manufactured in a GMP-certified facility and is freely sold in China. For some countries, the certificate may need to be legalised by the embassy or consulate, which takes additional time. We include this in the shipping documents at no extra cost, but legalisation fees are passed on to you.

How do you handle deviations or out-of-specification results?+

If a batch fails any specification, we immediately place it on hold and initiate an investigation. We inform you within 48 hours and provide a deviation report with root cause analysis and proposed corrective actions. Re testing may be permitted for certain parameters, but only if scientifically justified. If the batch cannot be released, we will re manufacture at no cost to you, provided the issue is not due to your formula or artwork.
