Apple Cider Vinegar Capsule Manufacturer for Global Brands
EUPHM produces apple cider vinegar capsules in a GMP-certified facility in Guangdong, China. We handle 1,000 unit MOQs, 7–10 day samples and 20–35 day production for brands in the US, EU, UK and Middle East.
Overview
Apple cider vinegar is a high-volume, low-margin supplement category. Buyers need a capsule manufacturer that can lock in fill weight, control moisture and deliver on schedule. EUPHM runs dedicated capsule lines for vinegar powders and blends, with in-house QC for pH, fill weight and microbial limits. This page covers specifications, formulation options, lead times and the compliance documents your market will ask for.

Capsule production capacity and line setup
EUPHM operates automatic capsule filling lines with a combined capacity of 1.2 million capsules per day. For apple cider vinegar, we run size 0 and size 1 capsules at 400–800 mg fill weights. Standard retail bottles are 60, 90, 120 or 180 count. We can also fill 500 mg and 600 mg capsules for private label programmes. Changeover between SKUs takes 4–6 hours, which keeps small runs practical.
The plant is located in Guangdong, with direct access to Shenzhen and Hong Kong ports. Typical production runs for ACV capsules are 50,000–200,000 units per SKU. We hold stock of HPMC and gelatin capsule shells in natural and clear finishes. For brands that need a specific bottle, cap or induction seal, we work with approved packaging suppliers and can quote landed costs to your warehouse.
Formulation: powder, extract and blend options
Apple cider vinegar powder is hygroscopic. If it absorbs moisture, capsules soften and shelf life drops. We specify a carrier — typically maltodextrin or acacia fibre — at 20–40% of the fill weight. This keeps the powder free-flowing on the line and stable in the bottle. We test moisture content at incoming, in-process and finished goods. Target is below 5% water activity.
You can choose a straight ACV powder, a 5% or 10% acetic acid standardised extract, or a blend with ginger, turmeric, cayenne, B6 or chromium. We also produce 'ACV with the mother' as a spray-dried powder. For vegan claims, we use HPMC shells and plant-based carriers. For halal and we source bovine gelatin from certified suppliers and provide the certificates with each batch.
Quality control and export documentation
Every batch of apple cider vinegar capsules is tested for fill weight uniformity, disintegration time, microbial limits, heavy metals and pH. We retain samples for 24 months. The facility is GMP-certified and holds ISO 22000 and HACCP. We are FDA-registered, which allows US-bound shipments. Halal and vegan certifications are available depending on your formulation and market.
For each order we provide a certificate of analysis, a certificate of origin, a free sale certificate if needed, and a halal certificate where relevant. Labels can be printed with your artwork. We handle bottling, induction sealing, labelling and cartoning. Shipping is by sea or air from Shenzhen or Hong Kong. Typical documentation turnaround is 3–5 working days after batch release.
Quality Control and Batch Documentation
Every apple cider vinegar capsule batch is tested at three stages: incoming powder, in-process blend and finished capsules. Identity testing uses FTIR against a retained reference spectrum, while potency is confirmed by titratable acidity expressed as acetic acid, typically 5–8% in the dried powder. Microbial limits follow USP <2021> and <2022> with total aerobic count below 10,000 cfu/g, yeast and mould below 100 cfu/g, and absence of E. coli and Salmonella. Heavy metals are screened by ICP-MS for lead, arsenic, cadmium and mercury against EU and US thresholds.
Disintegration testing is run on every encapsulation run using USP <701> at 37°C in purified water; HPMC capsules typically disintegrate within 10–15 minutes, gelatin within 5–10 minutes. Fill weight is checked hourly with a 20-capsule composite sample, and the acceptance range is ±5% of target. Moisture content is kept below 8% to protect the hygroscopic vinegar powder, and water activity is monitored on the bulk blend before encapsulation.
The certificate of analysis issued with each batch lists batch number, production date, expiry date, capsule type and size, fill weight, acetic acid content, microbial results, heavy metals, disintegration time and a statement of conformity. Retention samples of 100 capsules per batch are held for 24 months under ambient conditions, and accelerated stability at 40°C/75% RH is run for 0, 1, 2, 3 and 6 months on the first three commercial batches to support a 24-month shelf life.
Documentation is released in English as standard, with Chinese or bilingual versions on request. If your market requires it, we can add a batch-specific allergen statement, a non-GMO declaration and a residual solvent screen. Records are retained for five years and are available for audit by appointment at the Guangdong facility.
Packaging, Labelling and Retail Readiness
Capsules can be packed in HDPE bottles from 60 to 180 count, in blister packs of 10 or 12 per card, in stick packs of 2–5 g, or in single-serve sachets. Bottles are induction-sealed and fitted with a child-resistant or standard screw cap; desiccant canisters are added for humid markets. Blister forming uses PVC/PVDC or alu-alu for moisture-sensitive formulas. Cartons are printed to your artwork with lot number and expiry date inkjet-coded on the base.
For US retail, labels must carry the Supplement Facts panel, serving size, amount per serving, other ingredients, allergen statement, and the FDA disclaimer. We check your artwork against 21 CFR 101.36 before print. For EU markets, the nutrition declaration, net quantity, best-before date, batch code, manufacturer address and storage conditions are verified against Regulation 1169/2011. Amazon FNSKU labels, poly-bag suffocation warnings and carton weight limits can be applied in-house.
Cartons are 5-ply corrugated with a 20 kg maximum gross weight, and pallets are 1,200 × 1,000 mm or 1,200 × 800 mm heat-treated to ISPM 15. Shrink-wrap and corner boards are standard. We can print GS1-128 labels with SSCC codes for retail distribution centres. A pre-shipment packaging check confirms label placement, lot coding and seal integrity on a 1% sample or 10 units, whichever is greater.
MOQ, Lead Times and Delivery
Sampling starts with a 7–10 working day turnaround for a 100–200 capsule sample, including basic COA. After sample approval and a 30% deposit, mass production runs 20–35 working days depending on capsule type, packaging format and whether labelling is supplied or printed in-house. Repeat orders with unchanged specifications usually ship within 18–25 working days. Peak season from August to November adds roughly one week.
Air freight from Guangdong to Europe or North America takes 5–8 days door to door and suits orders under 500 kg or urgent retail replenishment. Sea freight takes 28–38 days to EU ports and 18–28 days to US West Coast, and is cost-effective above 1,000 kg. We quote EXW, FOB Shenzhen or Hong Kong, and DDP for selected destinations. DDP pricing includes duties and customs clearance but excludes destination storage.
Each shipment is accompanied by a batch COA, safety data sheet, free-sale certificate, and where relevant a phytosanitary certificate and certificate of origin. Halal certificates are issued per production run by the certifying body. Shipping documents include commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading or airway bill, and insurance certificate if requested. We can also provide a declaration of conformity for EU food supplement rules.

Questions buyers ask.
What is the MOQ for apple cider vinegar capsules?+
MOQ is 1,000 units per SKU for retail bottling. Lower quantities are possible for pilot runs, but unit costs are higher. If you need multiple SKUs, we can combine them in one production window to reduce changeover time and total cost.
Can you make vegan ACV capsules?+
Yes. We use HPMC (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose) shells and plant-based carriers. This supports vegan and vegetarian claims. We can also provide a vegan certificate. Gelatin capsules are available if you prefer a lower unit cost and do not need a vegan claim.
How long does production take?+
Samples take 7–10 working days. Mass production is 20–35 working days after sample approval and deposit. This excludes shipping time. Sea freight to the US or EU typically adds 25–40 days. Air freight adds 5–10 days. We confirm dates in the PI.
Do you provide halal certificates?+
Yes, for formulations that qualify. We source halal certified gelatin and carriers. Certificates are issued per batch. If your market requires halal or tell us at the quotation stage so we can lock the correct raw material suppliers.
What testing is done on finished capsules?+
Each batch is tested for fill weight uniformity, disintegration time, microbial limits, heavy metals and pH. We retain samples for 24 months. A certificate of analysis is issued before shipment. You can also request third-party testing at an additional cost.
What is the shelf life of your apple cider vinegar capsules and how is it supported?+
Standard shelf life is 24 months from the date of manufacture when stored below 25°C and 60% RH in the original sealed container. It is supported by accelerated stability data at 40°C/75% RH for 0, 1, 2, 3 and 6 months on the first three commercial batches, plus real-time data at ambient conditions. We can run a custom stability protocol if your market requires a different claim.
Can you supply apple cider vinegar capsules with 'mother' or unfiltered powder?+
Yes. We can source spray-dried apple cider vinegar powder with or without the mother, and we verify the specification with the supplier's COA and our own identity and acetic acid testing. Because the mother is a particulate, it can affect fill weight consistency and capsule appearance, so we recommend a 500 mg fill in size 0 HPMC and a pre-production sample to confirm appearance and flow.
Do you offer low-MOQ private label with our own artwork and bottle?+
Yes. Our private-label programme starts at 1,000 units per SKU for retail bottling, and we can use your supplied bottles or source standard HDPE bottles locally. Artwork is checked against FDA or EU labelling rules before print, and we provide a digital proof and one physical pre-production sample for approval. Lower pilot runs of 1,000–2,000 units are available for market testing with a surcharge.
