Calcium Tablet Manufacturer for Your Brand
EUPHM produces calcium tablets in a GMP-certified facility in Guangdong, China. We handle formulation, tableting, coating and packaging for brands in the US, EU, UK and Middle East.
Overview
As a calcium tablet manufacturer, we support every stage from pilot to mass production. Our plant runs rotary tablet presses with capacities up to 500,000 tablets per shift. We source calcium carbonate, citrate and coral calcium from qualified suppliers. MOQ is 1,000 units per SKU for retail bottling, with lower minimums for pilot runs. Sample lead time is 7-10 working days. Mass production takes 20-35 working days. Certifications include GMP, ISO 22000, HACCP, and halal or vegan where required.

Calcium Tablet Production Capability
Our tableting suite includes 12 rotary presses with force feeders and dust extraction. We run single-layer and bi-layer tablets. For calcium, we typically use direct compression or dry granulation to avoid moisture sensitivity. Tooling is available in standard or custom shapes. We can emboss your logo or a score line. Output reaches 500,000 tablets per shift across two shifts. We monitor weight variation, hardness and friability every 30 minutes.
We also offer film coating, enteric coating and sugar coating. Coating improves swallowability and masks chalkiness. For effervescent calcium, we use a separate low-humidity room. Blister packing, bottle filling and sachet filling are all in-house. Bottle sizes range from 60 cc to 500 cc. We apply induction seals, child-resistant caps and desiccant options. Secondary packaging includes cartons, labels and shrink wrap.
Calcium Forms and Formulation Support
Calcium tablets are not all the same. We work with calcium carbonate (40% elemental calcium), calcium citrate (21%), calcium lactate (13%) and calcium gluconate (9%). Carbonate is cost-effective but needs stomach acid; citrate is better for low-acid users. We can combine calcium with vitamin D3, magnesium, zinc, vitamin K2 or boron. Dosage ranges from 200 mg to 1,200 mg elemental calcium per tablet. We adjust excipients to meet your target disintegration time.
Our formulation team helps with taste, mouthfeel and tablet size. We use microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium and magnesium stearate at levels that meet USP and Ph. Eur. We can make vegan tablets with no gelatin or lactose. For organic claims, we source organic-certified calcium from approved suppliers. Stability testing follows ICH guidelines. We provide a full technical dossier for your regulatory filings.
Quality Control and Global Shipping
Every batch of calcium tablets is tested for identity, assay, weight variation, hardness, disintegration and microbial limits. We hold GMP, ISO 22000 and HACCP certifications. Our QC lab uses HPLC, ICP-MS and dissolution apparatus. We retain samples for 24 months. Batch records are available for audit. For halal claims, we maintain separate production slots and documentation. We can also provide a certificate of analysis for each shipment.
We ship to the US, EU, UK and Middle East. Lead time for mass production is 20-35 working days after sample approval. We handle DDP, FOB and CIF terms. Air freight takes 3-7 days; sea freight 18-35 days. We prepare all export documents: commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin and health certificate. Our team supports customs clearance and label compliance for your market.
Calcium Tablet Quality Control and Batch Documentation
Every calcium tablet batch is tested against a written specification before release. Incoming raw materials are sampled at 100% of containers for identity by FTIR or wet chemistry, and composite samples are assayed for potency (calcium content by EDTA titration or ICP-OES), microbial limits (TPC, yeast and mould, E. coli, Salmonella), heavy metals (lead, arsenic, cadmium, mercury by ICP-MS), and, where applicable, vitamin D3 potency by HPLC. In-process checks cover weight variation (±5% of target), hardness (typically 8-15 kp for calcium carbonate), thickness, and friability (less than 1% loss).
Finished tablets are tested for disintegration (USP <701> for uncoated tablets, typically less than 30 minutes in water at 37°C), dissolution where a claim requires it, and final potency. Microbial and heavy metal testing is performed on the finished batch as well as the raw materials. A certificate of analysis (COA) is issued per batch and includes the product name, batch number, manufacturing date, expiry date, specification limits, test methods, and results with pass/fail status. The COA is signed by the QC manager and referenced in the release documentation.
Retention samples are held for the shelf life stated on the label plus 12 months, stored under labelled conditions (typically 25°C/60% RH or 30°C/65% RH). Stability studies follow ICH Q1A(R2) guidelines: accelerated conditions at 40°C/75% RH for six months, and long-term conditions at 25°C/60% RH or 30°C/65% RH for the proposed shelf life. We test at 0, 3, 6, 9, 12, 18, 24, and 36 months for potency, disintegration, microbial limits, and appearance. Stability data packages are available for review under confidentiality.
Batch records are retained for at least one year after expiry or five years from manufacture, whichever is longer. Each batch record includes raw material lot numbers, dispensing weights, machine parameters, in-process results, yield reconciliation, and deviation reports. If a deviation occurs, it is investigated and closed before release. We do not release a batch without a complete and signed batch record and COA.
Calcium Tablet Packaging, Labelling and Retail Readiness
Calcium tablets can be packed in HDPE bottles (30, 60, 90, 120, 180, or 250 count) with induction seals and child-resistant or standard caps, blisters (PVC/PDC or alu-alu) in 10, 12, or 14 count strips, stick packs, or sachets. Bottle sizes and fill counts are confirmed at quotation. We provide bottle, cap, desiccant, and label specifications for your approval before production. Cartons are printed with lot number, expiry date, and barcode. For Amazon and retail, we can apply FNSKU labels, poly-bag, and bundle according to your requirements.
Labels must include the statement of identity, net quantity of contents, supplement facts panel, ingredient list, allergen statement where applicable, directions for use, and the manufacturer or distributor name and address. For US FDA dietary supplement labelling, the supplement facts panel must list calcium and vitamin D3 (if added) with % Daily Value based on the current US RDI. We provide a label review service against your target market requirements, but final label compliance remains the brand owner's responsibility. We can also print lot and expiry in inkjet or laser coding on the bottle and carton.
Carton specifications: standard export carton is 5-ply corrugated with a bursting strength of at least 18 kg/cm². Pallet configuration is typically 48 cartons per pallet (Euro) or 60 cartons per pallet (US), stretch-wrapped and strapped. We provide a packing list and pallet label with SSCC if required. For Amazon FNSKU labelling, we apply the label to each unit and poly-bag units as needed. Retail compliance for the EU includes the address of the responsible person and the nutrition declaration in the local language.
We can supply retail-ready packaging with your artwork, including bottles, labels, cartons, and any inserts. Artwork proofing takes 3-5 working days. We keep a digital archive of approved artwork and label versions for traceability. If you need serialisation or tamper-evident features, we can discuss options such as shrink bands or sealed cartons. Packaging materials are food-grade and meet EU 10/2011 and US FDA 21 CFR 174-186 requirements where applicable.
Calcium Tablet MOQ, Lead Times and Delivery Terms
The MOQ for calcium tablets is 1,000 units per SKU for retail bottling, with lower minimums for pilot runs (typically 1,000-2,000 units) subject to tablet size and packaging. Sample lead time is 7-10 working days from receipt of your specification and artwork. Samples are provided free of charge for standard formulations; you pay courier costs. Mass production takes 20-35 working days after sample approval and receipt of deposit, depending on tablet count, packaging complexity, and whether stability testing is required. We confirm the production schedule in the proforma invoice.
Shipping options include air freight (5-10 days door-to-door) and sea freight (25-40 days port-to-port, plus inland transit). We ship under EXW, FOB (Shenzhen or Hong Kong), or DDP terms. For DDP, we handle customs clearance and delivery to your door; you provide the import bond and importer of record details. Air freight is suitable for urgent orders up to 500 kg; sea freight is more economical for full pallets. We provide a packing list, commercial invoice, and bill of lading or airway bill.
Documents provided with each shipment include the COA for each batch, MSDS (if required for transport), free-sale certificate (for EU or other markets on request), and phytosanitary certificate where relevant (for plant-derived ingredients). Certificates of origin can be arranged. For US imports, we provide the FDA prior notice confirmation and facility registration number. For EU imports, we provide the importer's responsible person details. We do not provide legal advice on import regulations; you should confirm requirements with your customs broker.
Lead times are estimates and start from the later of sample approval or deposit receipt. Delays can occur due to artwork revisions, stability testing, or shipping space availability. We communicate weekly production status updates and provide a tracking number once shipped. For repeat orders, we keep your approved artwork and specification on file to reduce lead time to 15-25 working days for standard bottles.
