Single-Dose Sachet Manufacturer for Supplement Brands

Overview

Single-dose sachets are a practical format for pre-workout, electrolytes, collagen, probiotics, fibre and vitamin blends. They are light to ship, easy to dose and simple to carry. As a contract manufacturer, we handle powder blending, sachet forming, fill-weight control, sealing, coding and retail cartoning under one roof. The line runs four-lane stick packs at up to 1,200 sachets per minute, with 2–30 g fill weights and ±2% accuracy on most free-flowing powders.

Sachet Filling and Sealing Capability

The sachet line handles free-flowing powders, granulated blends and micro-pellets in a single pass. Fill weights run from 2 g to 30 g, with most supplement formulas sitting between 4 g and 12 g. Four-lane stick pack machines reach 1,200 sachets per minute; single-lane machines handle larger sachets or lower-volume runs. We control fill weight by auger or volumetric cup, depending on particle size and flow behaviour.

Sealing is the part buyers ask about most. We use heat-seal lamination with a validated temperature window, and we check seal integrity by dye penetration and burst testing at start-up, mid-run and end-of-run. Every sachet is coded with lot number and best-before date. Retail cartons can be printed, labelled and shrink-wrapped on site, so you receive finished sellable units rather than bulk sachets.

Formulation and Ingredient Handling

Sachets suit blends that would otherwise need a shaker bottle or a scoop. Typical projects include electrolyte powders with sodium, potassium and magnesium; collagen peptides with vitamin C; probiotic blends at 5–50 billion CFU; pre-workout with caffeine and beta-alanine; and fibre blends with inulin or psyllium. We can work with your existing formula or develop one with our food technologists.

Ingredient handling matters more than many buyers expect. Hygroscopic powders such as certain plant extracts and some vitamin salts need controlled humidity during blending and filling, or they clump and block the auger. We blend in a humidity-controlled room, use dehumidified air on the sachet line, and add anti-caking agents only where the label allows. Flavour, sweetener and colour systems are matched to your target taste profile during sampling.

Quality, Compliance and Shipping

The facility is GMP-certified and holds ISO 22000 and HACCP. halal and vegan certifications are available depending on your ingredient list and target market. We are an FDA-registered facility, which supports US-bound shipments, but we do not claim FDA approval for any product. Incoming ingredients are checked against specification, and finished sachets are tested for fill weight, seal strength, moisture and microbiological limits before release.

For logistics, sachets are light and compact. A 5 g sachet in a 30-count carton ships at a fraction of the volume of an equivalent tub. We can pack into retail cartons, display boxes or bulk polybags, and we ship FOB Shenzhen or Yantian. Standard export documentation includes certificate of analysis, certificate of origin, halal certificates where relevant, and MSDS for any active ingredients that require it.

Quality Control and Batch Documentation

Every single-dose sachet batch is tested against a written specification before release. Incoming raw materials are sampled at 100% of containers for identity by FTIR or HPLC, and potency is confirmed for actives such as vitamins, minerals, amino acids and probiotics. Microbial testing covers total aerobic count, yeast and mould, E. coli, Salmonella and Staphylococcus aureus, with results compared to the limits in the finished-product specification. Heavy metals (lead, arsenic, cadmium, mercury) are tested per batch or per ingredient lot, depending on the supply-chain risk assessment.

In-process checks run at the sachet line: fill weight is verified every 15 minutes on a calibrated checkweigher, seal integrity is checked by dye penetration and visual inspection, and lot coding is confirmed against the batch record. Finished sachets are tested for disintegration where the format requires it, and for moisture content and water activity on hygroscopic powders. Any out-of-specification result triggers a documented investigation before material is quarantined or rejected.

The certificate of analysis (COA) issued with each batch lists the product name, lot number, manufacturing date, expiry date, fill weight, and the test parameters with specification limits and results. It also references the specification number and the release decision. Retention samples of every batch are kept for the shelf life plus six months under controlled conditions, so a complaint can be traced back to the exact lot and raw material receipts.

Stability follows a written protocol: accelerated conditions at 40°C/75% RH for six months and real-time conditions at 25°C/60% RH for the declared shelf life. Sachets are tested at 0, 1, 3, 6, 12, 18 and 24 months for potency, microbials, moisture and seal integrity. The data supports the expiry date printed on the sachet and is available to brand owners for regulatory submissions.

Packaging, Labelling and Retail Readiness

Single-dose sachets are packed in stick packs, 3-side seal, 4-side seal or centre-seal formats, with fill weights from 2 g to 30 g. Secondary packaging options include retail cartons, display boxes and stick-pack strips. For brands selling on Amazon or into retail, we apply FNSKU labels, suffocation-warning text and carton markings to the buyer's specification. We do not print regulated claims without approved artwork and a signed proof.

Labels for the US market follow FDA dietary-supplement requirements: statement of identity, net quantity, supplement facts panel, other ingredients, directions for use, and the manufacturer/distributor name and address. Lot number and expiry date are printed on each sachet and on the carton, with formats such as LOT YYYYMMDD and EXP YYYYMM. For EU and UK markets, we support allergen declarations, nutrition declarations and the address of the food business operator.

Carton specifications are agreed before production: board grade, print process, dimensions and pallet pattern. A typical export carton holds 20 to 30 sachets, with 24 to 48 cartons per pallet depending on size. Pallets are stretch-wrapped and labelled with pallet ID, batch number, quantity and gross weight. We can supply retail-ready cases with barcodes and, where required, a GS1-compliant label.

Artwork proofing is a formal step: the brand owner approves a digital proof and, for new SKUs, a printed sample before the full run. We check barcode scannability, font sizes for net quantity, and placement of lot and expiry codes. Any change to artwork after approval restarts the proofing clock and may affect the production window.

MOQ, Lead Times and Delivery

Sampling starts with a formula brief and target fill weight. We provide a quotation within two working days and, once the brief is confirmed, a sample in 7 to 10 working days. Sample costs are quoted separately and credited against the first production order above the MOQ. The MOQ for single-dose sachets is 1,000 units per SKU, with lower quantities available for pilot runs at a higher unit cost.

Mass production runs 20 to 35 working days after sample approval and receipt of packaging materials. The window depends on ingredient lead times, artwork approval and line scheduling. We confirm a production date in writing and provide weekly status updates. For repeat orders with unchanged formula and artwork, the window is typically 20 to 25 working days.

Shipping is by air or sea. Air freight takes 5 to 10 days door to door for most destinations and suits launches and replenishment. Sea freight takes 25 to 40 days depending on port and routing and suits larger orders. We quote EXW, FOB and DDP. Under DDP, we handle export clearance, freight, import clearance and delivery to the buyer's address, with duties and taxes shown separately.

Documents provided with each shipment include the commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of analysis, material safety data sheet where applicable, and a free-sale certificate. For plant-based ingredients, a phytosanitary certificate can be arranged where the destination requires it. Certificates of origin are available on request. We do not issue documents we cannot substantiate.

Formats and Packaging Options

Stick pack

Narrow single-serve stick, typically 2–10 g. Popular for pre-workout, electrolytes and collagen. Four-lane production keeps unit cost low at volume.

Why EUPHM

Low shipping volume

A 30-count sachet carton uses a fraction of the freight space of a tub. Lower dimensional weight means lower landed cost per unit.

Accurate single dosing

Every sachet contains the labelled dose. No scoops, no guesswork, no half-empty tubs. This matters for electrolytes and pre-workout.

Retail-ready format

Sachets suit travel, gym and pharmacy channels. We carton and code on site, so units arrive ready for retail shelves or e-commerce pick-and-pack.

Questions buyers ask.

What is the MOQ for single-dose sachets?+

MOQ is 1,000 units per SKU for retail bottling or cartoning. Pilot runs can go lower, but unit cost rises because setup and cleaning time is spread over fewer units. If you are testing a market, ask for a pilot run quote and we will confirm the minimum.

Can you match a formula I already sell in tubs?+

Yes. Send the current formula, fill weight and flavour profile. We will match the taste and texture as closely as the sachet format allows. Some ingredients behave differently in a sachet than in a tub, so we may suggest small adjustments to flow agents or particle size.

How long does sampling take?+

Sample lead time is 7–10 working days after we receive your formula and packaging requirements. This includes blending, filling, sealing and labelling of the sample sachets. If the formula needs development or flavour matching, add 5–10 working days for the first trial.

What certifications do you hold?+

The facility is GMP-certified and holds ISO 22000 and HACCP. halal and vegan certifications are available depending on your ingredient list and target market. We are an FDA-registered facility for US-bound shipments. We do not claim FDA approval for any product.

What is the shelf life of a sachet?+

Shelf life depends on the formula and packaging barrier. Most powder blends in foil-laminate sachets hold 18–24 months at ambient temperature. Probiotics and hygroscopic ingredients may need a higher-barrier film or a desiccant. We run accelerated stability checks during sampling to confirm a realistic date.

Can you produce sachets with a probiotic strain that needs cold-chain storage?+

We can fill probiotic powders in sachets under controlled humidity, but cold-chain storage is the brand owner's responsibility after dispatch. We test water activity and moisture at filling and provide stability data at 25°C/60% RH. For strains that require refrigeration, we recommend a desiccant or high-barrier foil and a labelled storage condition. We do not ship refrigerated containers unless agreed in writing.

Do you provide a certificate of analysis for each batch, and what does it include?+

Yes. Each batch ships with a COA listing product name, lot number, manufacturing and expiry dates, fill weight, test parameters, specification limits and results. Tests typically cover identity, potency, microbials, heavy metals, moisture and seal integrity. The COA references the specification number and the release decision. Retention samples are kept for the shelf life plus six months for traceability.

What are the Incoterms and payment terms for a first order?+

We quote EXW, FOB and DDP. For a first order, payment is typically 50% deposit with the balance before shipment, against a proforma invoice. DDP pricing includes export clearance, freight, import clearance and delivery, with duties and taxes shown separately. We confirm the Incoterm and payment schedule in the quotation so there are no surprises at shipment.
