Pectin Gummy Manufacturer for Vegan and Halal Brands
EUPHM produces pectin gummies in a GMP-certified facility in Guangdong. MOQ is 1,000 units per SKU, samples ship in 7–10 working days, and mass production runs 20–35 working days. Suitable for vegan, halal labels.
Overview
Pectin gummies use fruit-derived pectin instead of gelatine. They hold up in warm transit, suit vegan and halal positioning, and carry clean-label appeal. As a contract manufacturer, we handle formulation, pilot batches, analytical testing and retail bottling. This page covers our pectin capability, ingredient options, and the compliance documents buyers request before placing a first purchase order.

Pectin gummy production capability
Our Guangdong plant runs pectin gummy lines with batch sizes from 500 kg to 3,000 kg. We use jacketed kettles, high-shear mixers and starch-free depositing for pectin, which sets through a calcium-pectin reaction rather than gelatine gelation. Typical output is 2–4 million gummies per week across two shifts. Fill weights range from 2.5 g to 5 g. We can produce shaped gummies, rings, bears and custom moulds.
Pilot runs are available at 1,000 units per SKU so you can test flavour, texture and packaging before committing to full MOQ. After pilot approval, we scale to 1,000 units per SKU for retail bottling. Line capacity supports up to 500,000 units per SKU per month. We bottle in 60 cc to 500 cc HDPE or PET, apply induction seals, and label to your artwork.
Pectin formulation and ingredient options
Pectin gummies can be formulated vegan, halal or organic. We source citrus and apple pectin with a degree of esterification between 30% and 70%, depending on texture target. Sweeteners include cane sugar, tapioca syrup, allulose, erythritol and stevia. For sugar-free versions, we adjust pectin and calcium lactate ratios to avoid weeping or hardening. Natural colours come from fruit and vegetable concentrates; flavours can be natural or nature-identical.
Active ingredients we commonly add include vitamin C, vitamin D3, B12, zinc, elderberry, melatonin, CBD and probiotics. Pectin’s lower processing temperature, typically 80–85 °C, helps protect heat-sensitive actives. We run accelerated stability at 40 °C and 75% RH for 3 months to confirm potency and texture. Overages are set per ingredient, usually 5–20% above label claim, to meet shelf-life targets.
Quality, compliance and shipping
The facility is GMP-certified and holds ISO 22000 and HACCP. It is also FDA-registered for US imports. Halal and organic certificates are available for applicable SKUs. Each batch has a certificate of analysis covering appearance, texture, pH, water activity, microbial limits and active potency. We retain samples for 24 months. Heavy metal and pesticide testing is done per market requirement.
For EU and UK buyers, we provide allergen statements, vegan statements and organic transaction certificates where relevant. For Middle East orders, halal certificates come from recognised bodies. Shipping is typically 18–25 days by sea to US East Coast, 25–35 days to EU ports, and 10–15 days to Jebel Ali. Air freight is available for pilot runs. We handle export documents, commercial invoices and packing lists.
Quality Control and Batch Documentation
Every pectin gummy batch is tested against a written specification before release. Incoming raw materials are checked for identity by FTIR or HPLC, and pectin is assayed for galacturonic acid content and degree of esterification. During production, in-process checks cover Brix, pH, setting temperature and gummy weight at 30-minute intervals. Finished gummies are tested for potency of actives, microbial limits (total aerobic count, yeast and mould, E. coli, Salmonella), heavy metals (lead, arsenic, cadmium, mercury) and disintegration time. Typical disintegration results are 8–15 minutes at 37°C, which meets USP <2040> for chewable dosage forms.
A certificate of analysis (COA) is issued for each batch and includes the batch number, production date, expiry date, test parameters, specification limits, results and the analyst's signature. COAs are available in English and can be formatted to your QA team's template. Retention samples of every batch are kept for the full shelf life plus six months, stored at 25°C/60% RH and 30°C/65% RH. Stability protocols follow ICH Q1A(R2) guidance with testing at 0, 3, 6, 9, 12, 18 and 24 months for real-time studies, and accelerated conditions at 40°C/75% RH for six months.
Microbial testing is performed by an external ISO 17025-accredited laboratory, and results are typically returned within five working days. Heavy metals are tested by ICP-MS with detection limits of 0.01 ppm for lead and cadmium. If your market requires ethylene oxide or chlorate testing for pectin, these can be added to the batch protocol at an additional cost and lead time. All test data is retained for five years and can be retrieved by batch number for traceability audits.
For pectin gummy manufacturing, water activity is also monitored because it affects texture and microbial stability. Target water activity is 0.55–0.65, measured with a dew-point analyser. Batches outside this range are held for investigation and are not released. Environmental monitoring in the packing area includes monthly air settle plates and surface swabs for total aerobic count and yeast and mould, with alert limits set at 50 CFU per plate and action limits at 100 CFU per plate.
Packaging, Labelling and Retail Readiness
Pectin gummies can be packed in 60 cc to 500 cc HDPE or PET bottles with induction seals and child-resistant or standard caps, in blister packs of 10 to 30 gummies, in stick packs of 5 to 10 gummies, or in single-serve sachets. Bottles are filled by count or weight with a target fill accuracy of ±2%. Desiccant can be added for humid markets. We can apply your artwork or provide dieline templates. Typical bottle dimensions and label placement are confirmed at the artwork approval stage, usually within three working days of receiving your design files.
For US dietary supplement labels, we check that your artwork includes the statement of identity, net quantity of contents, supplement facts panel with serving size and percent daily value, ingredient list in descending order of predominance, allergen declaration, and the manufacturer or distributor name and address. Lot code and expiry date are inkjet-printed on the bottle shoulder or base and on the carton. We use a Julian date code format unless your retailer specifies otherwise. Expiry dating is supported by real-time stability data; a 24-month shelf life is typical for pectin gummies when stored below 25°C.
Cartons are specified as 5-ply corrugated with a bursting strength of at least 1,200 kPa, and pallets are 1,200 x 1,000 mm or 1,200 x 800 mm depending on destination. Shrink wrap and edge boards are standard. For Amazon FNSKU labelling, we can print and apply FNSKU labels to each unit and apply poly bags with suffocation warnings where required. Retail compliance checks include barcode verification to GS1 standards and carton marking with ITF-14 barcodes. We do not apply Amazon labels without your written confirmation of the FNSKU list.
If you sell in the EU, we can add the responsible person address, EC declaration and allergen information in the required languages. For halal markets, packaging lines are cleaned and documented between runs, and a line clearance record is kept. We do not claim halal certification on your label unless your chosen certifier has issued the certificate; we provide the documentation you need for your own certification application.
MOQ, Lead Times and Delivery
The sample timeline starts with a formulation brief and target dosage form. We provide a quotation within two working days and, once approved, a pilot batch of 1–2 kg is produced in 7–10 working days. Samples are shipped by courier with a COA and a draft label. If you need a revised flavour or texture, a second pilot round takes a further 7–10 working days. Sample costs are credited against the first mass production order when the order exceeds 10,000 units.
Mass production runs 20–35 working days after written approval of the pilot sample, artwork and purchase order. This window includes raw material procurement, production, testing and packing. Peak season (August to November) can extend lead times by 5–7 working days, so we recommend confirming your PO at least 10 weeks before your required delivery date. MOQ is 1,000 units per SKU, with lower quantities available for pilot runs subject to a setup fee.
We ship under EXW, FOB Shenzhen or Hong Kong, and DDP for select destinations. Air freight takes 5–8 days door to door and is suitable for samples and urgent launches; sea freight takes 25–35 days to US west coast ports and 30–40 days to EU ports. We provide a commercial invoice, packing list, COA, MSDS, free-sale certificate and, where required, phytosanitary certificate and certificate of origin. DDP shipments include customs clearance and duties, but we recommend confirming the HS code and import requirements with your customs broker before booking.
For repeat orders, we hold your approved formulation and artwork on file, and a repeat order can be scheduled within 15–20 working days if raw materials are in stock. We do not guarantee raw material availability for seasonal actives, so a forecast of 3–6 months helps us reserve pectin and active ingredients. Payment terms are 30% deposit with the balance against the bill of lading, and we accept T/T and L/C at sight for orders above USD 30,000.
